Re: Console Design Blunders

The way the section about the NES front loader was worded led me to wonder something. Does the top loader have the "blowing into the cartridge" problem as well, or is it just the front loader?

Re: Unpopular Gaming Opinions

A bold opinion, but I think the 2d Sonic the Hedgehog games on Sega Genesis can be considered a little overrated. It may seem blasphemous to say, and while I do think the first two games are nostalgic and fun to go back and play every once in a while, I’ve noticed that I really only love certain par...

Re: Snowmobile Games?

I know what you mean - seems like there was a lot to choose from in past generations. Doesn't seem to be as many options these days. The only modern snowmobile game I can think of is Snow Moto Racing Freedom for the switch - I believe there was an installment on the 3ds as well. 3ds one is a downloa...

Re: Will Disney+ kill physical media?

One of the other things that doesn't get talked about as much is having to rely on a stable internet connection to enjoy the content. For the most part, it's not really a concern for people with high speed internet, but for some people, like myself, who live in houses that have areas with spotty int...

Re: Games with sections that almost ruin it

Yeah, I'd say the motorcycle levels in Crash Bandicoot 3 really slow the action down, and you need to come in first to beat it. A couple false moves and you're done for. I'd say a big title that could be a candidate for this is Uncharted 2. As action-packed as the game is, there are some chapters th...

Re: NFL Football

I'm not surprised the Ravens scored that many points, they have been playing great. I am surprised the Rams played that poorly. They were so good the last two years, and they've been pretty bad lately. Lamar jackson continues to amaze. I would go with him for MVP, with Russell Wilson a close 2nd. Wh...

Re: Funspot

This sounds a lot like a place I went to a few years ago in Tarpon Springs, FL called Replay Museum. It also had a ton of pinball machines and almost every arcade cabinet you could think of. I'm pretty sure you could play for as long as you want for a reasonable price.

Re: Is anyone else ever nostalgic for bad graphics?

I'd say yea. I've even seen people here say there is a certain charm to the early 3d graphics on the ps1 and n64, even though they haven't aged well. To me, there are two games that come to mind. The graphics in these games aren't necessarily bad, just not really define. The games are Dirt Trax FX f...

Re: Later levels/bosses harder than final bosses?

I'm happy to say that I finally beat the final boss in Crash Bandicoot 1 the other night. It was the N. sane trilogy version. The PS1 version had a weird save feature that drove me crazy. Cortex wasn't too tough. He shoots orbs at you, some can be reflected back at him. Some can be tricky to dodge, ...

Later levels/bosses harder than final bosses?

I was thinking about this topic while beating the N. Sane Trilogy version of Crash Bandicoot 2 this weekend. I found that the levels in the fourth world and boss (N. Gin) were harder than the fifth and final world levels and battle with Neo Cortex. The final battle with Cortex is one of the easiest ...
