Re: Altered Beast (2005) - PS2

I'm always interested when an old game gets a sequel on a newer console. I remember reading about this, and thought I remembered it only saw an international released. Just looked it up an sure enough, it was only released in Japan and Europe.

Re: Let's talk Wii U: Best Games, Wii Transfer, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild

I haven’t played my Wii U in quite a while, but I do own one. I wasn’t as into the system as I thought I would be. I bought the deluxe model close to launch and paid a little more than I wanted to. I felt I could have waited for a price drop, but it never really got one. I never really played it a w...

Re: The FINAL Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Direct (Spoilers)

so the new Smash Brothers game comes out in a few days, who's excited? I just finished Subspace Emissary in Brawl, and I think that's my favorite in the series. I was just better at that game than melee. I like the 3ds version, if only for the fact that it's handheld. I enjoy the minigames, but I wa...

Re: Netflix Leaving Wii

This is interesting, thank you for posting. I currently have my Wii hooked up to my VCR and record shows from Netflix. I even recently recorded a couple stand up comedy specials. Better record what I can onto VHS while I still can! This makes me wonder about the other streaming services I have on th...

Re: $30 NES Challenge

I listened to this last night when I it downloaded to my iPod. Good listen. I enjoyed the snippet about the one guy not really caring about the n64.

This is an interesting experiment. I'd probably try to fit as many decent games as I could get in for $30, rather than getting one or two great ones.

Re: NHL 97 (Genesis)

Those old-school hockey games for the Genesis can't be beat. I have fun with them all. So much fun. A lot of the fun gets lost in translation with modern hockey games. I mentioned recently that in the newer NFL Blitz games that the field seems "bigger," and the games just aren't as fun. I ...

Re: Most Innovative Games?

As far as new games, I played a demo for a game last night on switch that was pretty different: Yoku's Island Express. It's a very imaginative game which is part platformer and part pinball. The way you traverse through levels is by hitting pinball flippers. Isn't that basically Sonic Spinball ? A ...

Re: Ranking the Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis games

I see the Sonic games on genesis as classics, despite not liking all the levels. In the first game, I never really play Labyrinth zone, and I can honestly say I've never beaten the boss for that level. I like most of the levels in Sonic 2, but I think Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles have long, slow s...

Re: Games that waste your time?

I remember Yakuza 4 or 5 on PS3 was like this. The street fights were the most interesting part of the game for me, but they were few and far between in my opinion. It has been a few years since I played it, but I remember some fat guy hanging from a rope, and you had to save him in some quick time ...
