Gettysburg: The Turning Point (Atari)

Coming off the 4th of July thread I was looking at tracking down a few of American History style games. One mentioned was Gettysburg: The Turning Point for the Atari 8-bit computers. I was looking at some of these on Ebay and the game looks pretty elaborate. It got rave reviews back in the day. But ...

2020/7/12: Playstation: Elemental Gearbolt

At Close Range (movie)

I saw an old 1986 flick on Amazon Prime the other night I consider a hidden gem called At Close Range. If you've ever seen the Madonna video "Live to Tell" you've seen clips from that film. I always wanted to watch it but could never find it anywhere. It's pretty intense! Kind of like a ma...

Favorite Batman Films

I've always enjoyed the Batman movies, and divide them into three categories: - Gothic Batman. These were the first two film under TIm Burton. Kind of dark and surreal. - Campy Batman. These were the colorful, flamboyant films of Joel Schumacher, Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. I think these we...

Jazz

Never really been into jazz but collecting vinyl has me expanding my horizons. Picked up "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis at the local Barnes and Noble after hearing it was the definitive jazz album. I like it. It has a cool laid-back vibe like when you're at some dark, fancy restaurant order...

Battlestar Galactica and Shark Shark 2

Recently got an email about two new Intellivision games: Battlestar Galactica and Shark Shark 2. Actually these are hacks of Space Battle and Shark Shark. http://www.intellivisionrevolution.com/orderintelligentvision I ordered Battlestar Galactica because Space Battle is a great game, and I like the...

Re: Best Light Gun Game?

It's Elemental Gearbolt. This game is pretty amazing. I'm sure I took it for granted back in the day, but now it's one of those old titles you cherish.

Never heard of Rescue Shot but I'm interested.

Re: Comcast Xfinity is the worst

For that price you may want to call and ask to "cancel" and say you're going to over the air antenna. My hunch is you'll get the "don't go" price. I did that for Dish the other day and got my price dropped from $150 to $110. Previously, I was paying about $100 per month for 2 ye...
