Re: Games so bad you have to shut it off

Surprised to see that nobody has mentioned the Swordquest series of games yet.

Re: Games so bad you have to shut it off

Major League Baseball for the NES. Yes, it's another turkey that was put out by LJN. By the time I can navigate my way through the beyond hostile user interface, my patience has already been pushed to the limit. And when I start trying to play the darn thing, the poor physics, awful control and lous...

Whoops. That is indeed a major oversight on my part. So how about I add their "Metal on Metal" album to my Canadian metal list? I always liked that one, and the title track to me is classic metal at it's best.

Re: Games so bad you have to shut it off

That's like asking if any one of us has ever drank a Coke. One game that comes to mind was "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" on the NES. Now you have to understand that I dressed as Indiana Jones for Halloween when I was eight. Actually, I wanted to be Colonel Vogel, which promptly led...

Re: Games so bad you have to shut it off

I played Baseball and Soccer for weekly contests on NintendoAge. Baseball is beyond awful, with no reason for anyone to play it now except for nostalgia. Soccer is just boring. But I don't care for sports games to begin with. I also can't stand black box Golf or any golf video games for that matter....

Re: Heavy metal!

Some of my favorites listed by sub genre, geographical location or movement: The Big Four: 1) Metallica "Master of Puppets" 2) Megadeth "Rust in Peace" 3) Slayer "Reign in Blood" and "Seasons in the Abyss" (tie). Reign because of the all out aggression. And Se...

Re: Games so bad you have to shut it off

I just thought of a few more NES games that I just can't sit down and play without shutting 'em off. And it may be tantamount to treason to even say it. But to me, some of those "Black Box" games are borderline unplayable. Specifically the sports titles. Base ball and Soccer, in particular...

Re: NES Classic best selling console

Sony should think about a mini-PS1. Admit it, you'd get one. It's funny you should mention that, because just a few short days ago, a buddy of mine at work told me that there will be a PS1 mini coming out in the near future. Now, he didn't say exactly when it was coming out or where he heard or see...

Re: Games so bad you have to shut it off

[quote="CaptainCruch"] Rise of the Robots (Sega Genesis) - I can control it, but the fun disappears within seconds. That's more than what I can do with it. And as hard as it is to believe, I find the Playstation version even worse. I could win fairly easily enough. But I had no luck at all...

Re: A Retro CD-based Console is being made.

I like the idea. But one thing I don't like is that you have to buy each of the cartridge modules seperately. Why not have one base console with three cartridge slots and a disc drive?

Also, where are the Atari games from each console they put out?
