Re: New Atari 2600 game Astronomer?

I just downloaded the ROM for this game., but it's BIN file and I've no idea how to open it. Does anybody know how to open one of these? And if so, could you please tell me how to do so? This game seems very interesting, and I'd like to give it a go. Thanks.

Hmmm... Sounds very interesting. Hopefully, it gets done soon

Re: 7800 homebrews?

My fave 7800 game is Ms. Pac-Man. Which I also think is by far and away the best home version of the game ever released. Yes, it looks a little blocky. But it looks very similar to the srcade version. And it also plays and controls really well, which are all things that can't be said of the versions...

Re: Praise for Desert Falcon

I have the 2600 version, and I put in infinite hours playing it back in the day. Obviously, it's one of those games that just has not aged well in the slightest, and it has some really wonky play mechanics. But I do remember having fun with it as I would try to beat my high scores..

Re: Keystone Kapers II Proto

Of course, it's impossible to determine whether or not this would have been a worthy sequel to a really good game. But going by the video of the tech demo of the game posted on You Tube, it looked very promising. It's such a shame that it was never finished or released worldwide...

Re: Favorite Albums of the 90s

A few of my faves with a thought or two on each one: Metallica- "Metallica" (aka "The Black Album") The album that got me into the heavier side of metal. Slayer "Seasons in the Abyss" Their last truly great album. Don't get me wrong, they put out some good stuff afterwa...

Re: Best and Worst Console Designs

Quick question for the board: If we're talking about the best and worst designed consoles, should we also extend that to the box cover artwork and the cartridge design is for each console we happen to bring up as well? Just a thought.

Re: Best and Worst Console Designs

I'm probably gonna get a bit of flack for this, but to me, the Sega Master System gets my vote for one of the worst designed game consoles ever. Sure, it's perfectly functional, and there's a lot of really good games for the system. But I've never really liked the design of the thing, as it just doe...

Re: Obscure Systems

Here's one that I just happened to find whilst browsing through this site during supper time. (had chili for those interested in the details)
