Re: Super Nintendo Classic Edition Review

I gotta say that I am really mixed on this one. I own the vast majority of these games already, so having another copy of them isn't overly appealing. But it has Earthbound, which by itself sells for more than this system. Does that along make it worth it? It also has Star Fox II which is interestin...

Re: Easy SRPGs?

Has anyone here played the Fire Emblem games? How would you say they stack up against Final Fantasy Tactics? I've looked at screenshots, and the battlefields all look completely flat-- which to me is a good thing. The layered and sloping battlefields of FFT are a little hard to navigate, especially...

Re: Easy SRPGs?

The fact that FFT requires you to grind before you even get to the 4th battle at Dorter Trade city (Summoners when you're lucky if you have 1 knight? Not even remotely fair.) makes it really hard. And the game is for the most part hard. When you've been playing it off and on for 2 decades now it isn...

Re: C64 mini

I had an Apple IIe for the bulk of my life, up until the PS2 was new, and I don't remember the floppy drives being slow at all, unless you were writing/formatting a disk, that might have taken a few minutes. I agree overall though with emulation being the best way to enjoy these games now though. A ...

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (Xbox 36)

I finally have a functioning Xbox 360, and the only game I've purchased on it is this ultimate genesis collection. And let me say... it is absolutely A+. The games look good, the HDMI conversion looks good, all the pixels are nice and sharp. And while the screen is cropped, it doesn't bother me at a...

Retcon type console?

Hello VGC forum world, I have some money, and I'm thinking about getting one of those consoles that plays multiple systems. My bare minimum would be SNES, Genesis, and NES. What are the current good options out there right now? Are there any that do those 3 and maybe something like a CD system as we...

Re: Monster Rancher 3 (PS2)

I played some MR2, a year and a half of gameplay on my pixie/durahan. Lived 5 years 7 months without any peaches. 999 intelligence, 750 skill and 800 speed, and a very mighty 350 life and 450 defense. Beat the major 4 and the white suezo. I stuck her in my freezer for safe keeping, I wish the game h...

Re: National Black Cat Awareness Month.

I'll try to get a picture, but we actually have 3 black cats. 1 Male and 2 females, Mowgli, Samantha, and Sally are the names. Getting all 3 in a shot will be difficult, Sally is pretty anti-social, but the other 2 are cuddle bugs.

Re: Games so bad you have to shut it off

I will add Battle Monsters for the Saturn to this list. I ended up using that disc as a drink coaster. It didn't even work well for that.
