Re: The one that got away...

I have 2 stories with this. First, and most recently, I went through a home foreclosure a few years back and left a box that had many games in it. For sure I lost Sonic Adventure, Virtua Cop 2, Actraiser, probably a few others too. When I was much younger though I went to visit a friend's house. I t...

Games you've always wanted to beat, but never will?

The recent 'games with a bad section' thread made me think of something else: What games have you always wanted to get into and actually beat, but for some reason or another, you just can't? Maybe it is because games have moved on, something is just a little too complex or wonky, whatever the reason...

Re: Games with sections that almost ruin it

This is a rather odd one, but specifically grinding for/doing the Magi Tower in Final Fantasy 6. The tower itself only gives magic points, no EXP, but the tower itself is really difficult so you are going to use your best people, which just in the process of leveling up have almost every spell you'l...

Playing backups on PS2?

Hello forum world, I kept seeing footage of an english Phantasy Star 2 remake on PS2, and after doing some research it turns out that it is a fan translation much like Shining Force III. (Which I now own, huzzah) I do some research and there are a lot of different ways to play backups on a PS2, Memo...

Re: Rampart four player?

I swear I remember my local nickel city having a 4 player cabinet... I mentioned this in the other warlords threads, but I genuinely remember it having 4 little wheels and buttons. Of course, memory is faulty, I remember it being Berenstein Bears not Berenstain too... Or who knows, maybe I'm from an...

That screenshot from Circus looks truly hideous. To the point that I can't quite tell if your statement that it is easy on the eyes is sarcastic or not!

Re: Final Fantasy X (again)

To answer PTs questions, I have an easier time in general with reading lengthy scenes than with watching them, but even then I don't have the patience that I used too. Xenogears is my biggest example for written dialogue going too far. Some of those cutscenes are well over 15 minutes. (Which jesus.....

Re: Final Fantasy X (again)

Being super quick here, but FF10 is firmly where I stopped with this series. (X-2 to be exact.) My thought at the time, "You're finally giving a final fantasy game a sequel and it is for the game I genuinely think didn't need it, and with a job change system that even young me thought was sexis...

Re: Dreamcast Light Gun Issues

While this probably isn't overly helpful, the accuracy for my Saturn between my 2 old CRT TVs is pretty significant. The only difference is the size, one being in the mid 20 inches in screen and the other having a 42+ inch screen. (It's big.) My light guns are much, much more accurate on the small s...

Re: 2019/10/6: Atari 2600: Warlords, Medieval Mayhem

In another thread, Rampart was brought to my attention, and warlords looks very much like that. I remember loving that game so much. Warlords just might be the classic game I need. Of course, I'd need some friends to play it with... all my old gamer buds have gone to different corners of the country...
