Dark Chambers is a guilty pleasure of mine. Downgrading it to an F rating? :(
It's not that bad, dude...

Re: Your top 10 cartoons of all time

Honorable Mentions: Pro Stars, M.A.S.K., The Super Mario Super Show, Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers, Muppet Babies, and Freakazoid. I wonder if my folks still have some of those old tapes I recorded stashed away in their attic... Solid choices Matchstick! I should have listed The Super Mario Super Sh...

Re: Your top 10 cartoons of all time

I love cartoons! This list was really hard for me to put together and I know i'm leaving out a ton of choices. Really great choices so far though guys! Here is what I'm going with at the moment: 1.) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - This was my childhood. I couldn't wait for the next episode and probab...

I'll second the birds teleporting into the round in Joust!

Strong vote also goes to the sound of collecting coins in Super Mario Bros.

Re: Remembering the mostly forgettable average games. (Or at least trying to.)

I absolutely love Dark Chambers on the Atari 2600 and 7800 consoles. I have fond memories of playing the game with my sister and various friends over the years. The fond memories are more of the hanging out and having conversations (sometimes we'd even listen to various albums) while playing Dark Ch...

The Mandalorian

Anybody else watching The Mandalorian? So far there are just two episodes (I believe new episodes are dropping on Friday's maybe?) and I've managed to watch both twice already. I haven't been a fan of the newer Star Wars films so I was pleasantly surprised that I actually am digging it so far. Anyon...

Re: C64 "Easter Egg" found on 35 year old vinyl album

Wow! I think this is super cool. Thumbs up!

Takeaway thought: wait a second. There ARE hidden messages on vinyl records...and a Christian band did it in way cooler than any of that "dark metal play the record backwards" garbage. Solid.

Re: 2019/10/16: Atari XEGS: Asteroids, Getaway!

Getaway sounds like a blast to play! I did a quick search for a copy on ebay after reading the review and didn't see any listed. Looks like I'll need to be on the look out for that one. I have memories of playing 4 player asteroids with my family back in the day. Kinda surprised it got a lower ratin...

Re: Xbox without a disk drive?

I think having a console without a disk drive might be beneficial to some...myself included. All of the consoles I currently own and have set up are cartridge based ("retro"), and for modern gaming I solely use Steam. I'm now used to the download only style and find it beneficial. Games ar...
