Re: Xbox without a disk drive?

I think having a console without a disk drive might be beneficial to some...myself included. All of the consoles I currently own and have set up are cartridge based ("retro"), and for modern gaming I solely use Steam. I'm now used to the download only style and find it beneficial. Games ar...

Re: New Atari Portable?

I've read that the new Atari portable is a UK only release...at least at this time. So folks like myself would have to import the thing. I'm going to hold out for now as I can't see myself paying top dollar for a product like this.

Re: Sears files for bankruptcy

bummer. Once upon a time Sears was a magical place my parents shopped at, and I snuck off to play the latest video-games at the kiosks they had setup in store. In some strange alternate universe that new Atari-box VCS is selling strong as a Sears Tele-Games branded product; and I'm circling the syst...

Re: Fire Pro Wrestling World

I'm a fan! I purchased the early access of Fire Pro World on Steam and while I enjoy it, I'd have to say your concerns on the menus not being friendly are a bit true here. It's clunky. In addition the online multiplayer for PC was a mess at the beginning where there was a delay in the response time ...

Re: PC games that never got a proper console port?

I used to spend countless hours playing Red Baron on our PC (It was a Packard Bell desktop if you remember those. ha!). My PC gaming back then consisted of Red Baron and logging into various BBS lines to play door games like Legend of the Red Dragon and Planets: The Exploration of Space. Great times!

Re: VGC Anti Atari??

hmmm....I dunno about that. I come to this site to read your Atari reviews and while I don't always agree with them, I've never thought you weren't a fan. In fact one of the main reasons I've recently been on the hunt for Atari 8-bit computer games has been due to your reviews. So the money I've sun...

Re: New Atari 2600 game Astronomer?

Finally played it and I enjoy it! One of those games you can just kinda relax with. I recommend throwing on some music and enjoying the ride. (might I suggest some tunes here? https://youtu.be/wOMwO5T3yT4 ) You can find a download, link to play, and instructions here: http://atariage.com/forums/topi...

Re: New Atari 2600 game Astronomer?

I haven't played it but the premise sounds interesting. The description mentions there is a bit of luck involved, and I'm unsure if I should take that as a selling point or not. Got to give the coder credit for a new game idea on a system with some serious limitations however!
