Re: Game of the Year 2018?

Fortnite has obviously had a huge impact on the industry. I've read that player counts/sales are lower on many new AAA releases because people continue to play Fortnite in high numbers. Can a game be so successful that it damages the entire industry? More to come.

Re: Records vs. CDs vs. digital music

The way I understand it is that records are analog recordings, and CDs are digital. On the other hand, dust can h...

Re: Are Fishing Games Gambling

That's definitely gambling. I'm not a big fan of gambling because it preys on the addictive vulnerabilities of the mind, and
it basically sucks money out of people's products. Poor people are often the target audience. This goes for state lotteries too.

Re: Encasing (Slabbing) Video Games

I'm 100% against slabbing games. Games are not cards or coins. I'd love to take a hammer (and carefully) break them out of their cases.

Re: Slain: Back From Hell (Switch)

It's definitely under the radar like a lot of other indie games. I would buy it, but It looks a little repetitive based on the gameplay that I saw.

Re: New thumbs up/down feature?

Scotland, I would be interested in reading people's comments right after reading the review, and not having to jump to the message board. I sometimes read through a whole section of reviews, and it would be nice to have all those comments within the reviews.

Re: New thumbs up/down feature?

The readers' letter grades are the best way to see if people agree with the review. It doesn't seem like a thumbs up or down would add any more information. What would be cool is if we could add comments onto the review, like seen on this old Star Trek review site: http://www.kethinov.com/startrekep...

Re: Xbox without a disk drive?

I sense they are testing the waters in preparation for the next gen. The rumors are that they will have two versions for next gen, one being a download only, so they are probably wondering how many of each kind to manufacture.

Re: Games or Interactive Stories?

Critic, are you going to review Detroit Become Human? Your decisions have HUGE impacts and alter the entire game in that one.
