Killer Queen Black is a console adaptation to apparently a modern arcade cabinet hit, Killer Queen. I honestly had never heard of it before this weekend, but I saw some review of the Switch game and it immediately grabbed me. First things first: This is an online only game, similar to something like...

I honestly got back into fighting games recently, and that includes playing some older classics like Samurai Shodown 2. I watched a bit of the Evo Championships for this new Samurai Shodown, and honestly it looks pretty awesome. The combat really looks like it's inspired by the older games for sure....
Two years later and I finally pick this one up after finding it for fairly cheap on PC. My biggest complaint is how much hard drive space the game takes up - it's over 70 GBs now! I'm an old fan of Tekken, having played since Tekken 2 and I've owned them all except for Tekken 4. As a result, I was l...
I've been playing this on PC after picking it up on the Summer Steam Sale, though I believe it's available for download on both PS4 and XBox One - no physical release unfortunately. The other unfortunate part is the lack of an MLB/MLBPA license, so it's all fictional teams and names. That said, the ...

I can definitely get sucked into the news these days, and it definitely increases my stress and anger levels. I do have to take time off and ignore the news every once in a while, and usually aside from video games I'll just distract myself with sports and sports news.

I have to say, I had this same renewed appreciation of baseball last year. There's something special about the sport where it's not as loud and in your face as sports like football or basketball. It's such a long haul of a season that it really is relaxing to watch and listen to a game. The thing is...

It seems like the only racing games out there these days go for realism (to varying degrees) like Gran Turismo, Forza, Dirt, Need for Speed, and the Crew. The only real exception to this the occasional kart racer or super fast futuristic racing game. Where is Burnout, Motorstorm, Outrun, Flatout, Cr...
For years I have avoided the Souls/Bloodborne series simply because, like the Critic, RPGs usually don't do it for me. That, and all the talk about the grueling difficulty kinda turns me off. I don't need to prove my gamer cred by beating a difficult game. But I randomly decided to pick up Dark Soul...
As for baseball.. despite being a very avid sports fan, and capable of watching almost any sport, baseball is one I truly dread. It's so slow and boring. At-bats take way too long. It's a whole lot of nothingness, sprinkled with very brief moments of excitement. Not worth it; I can't sit through it...
Definitely been noticing that too. I love the sport, but it seems like every other sport has more national attention these days. Maybe that's because we are right in the midst of NHL/NBA playoff season. Maybe it's because it seems like 90% of the games these days are in sub 50 degree weather so nobo...
