Re: NFL Football games are still going to suck

My friends and I had such a blast playing the first few Madden games on the Sega Genesis back in the early 90's. It's been at least a decade since I even played a Madden football game on any console. I know it upsets a lot of sports gamers that EA has the whole NFL along with the player's associatio...

Three Days of the Condor with Robert Redford

I just watched this movie for the first time and I really liked it. I'm not good at following lots of names in movies like these so I did some research after I watched the movie. For an older movie, (1975) I thought it held up very well. It often seems like older films from the 70's and 80's can be ...

Terrible games but I love the box art and the comics that were included.

Another thing that I just remembered is that the computer cheats. Whenever the CPU doesn't have the money to build units they get built anyway.

Re: 2020/4/18: Genesis: Herzog Zwei, Phantasy Star IV (Guest Review)

I bought Herzog Zwei at Electronics Boutique way back in the day. I bought the game based on what the store employee told me about it. It took my friends and me a while but when we finally knew what we were doing we had a blast playing it. It can definitely take some time to finish a head to head ma...

Missile Command review for the Atari 2600

Good review of this excellent port to the Atari 2600. Missile Command was a fun two-player experience also since you got to take turns each round when playing. The quality of this port along with Berzerk and Asteroids to me only exposes the awful way the Pac-Man port for the 2600 was handled. I was ...

Re: 2018/11/24: Atari 2600: Concentration, Robot Tank

You know I don't think back in the early 80's when playing Robot Tank that I even realized that the enemy tanks didn't fire while out of view. I remember it being a fun game to play back then. If memory serves doesn't the screen flicker and distort when your tank is hit by the enemy?

Re: Which games have the best screenshots?

I remember how cool Astrochase looked in the gaming magazines ads back in the early 80’s. Anyone who played it quickly learned that looks can be deceiving. Another great intro screen was Swordquest Earthworld. To bad that 99% of the effort went into making those intros.

Re: 2018/11/17: Playstation: NCAA Football 98

My old roommate and I used to play this game back in the day. It truly was a pleasure to play and the options available were impressive. Your right about running the option too. I wish more developers would get into making football and baseball games to challenge EA. I realize that having the team a...
