Re: Best Kart Racer of N64/PS1 era?

Crash Team Racing, hands down. My wife and I played the heck out of that thing when it first came out, and we are certainly getting the remastered version for the PS4 when it is released in June. I hate the adventure mode in CTR, but the head-to-head, split-screen insanity is absolutely fantastic.

Re: 2019/4/1: Xbox One: Sid Meier's Civilization: Flat Earth Edition

Does the game map rest on the back of a giant turtle? And does that turtle rest on the back of an even bigger turtle? Is it really turtles all the way down? That's partially right. It actually rests on the back of four elephants. The elephants, of course, rest on the back of a giant turtle which, i...

Clever, clever. Very droll.

Re: Sea of Thieves

I'm 100% happy with my PS4, but this is the one time I've ever felt salty for an exclusive I can't play. I might get it if/when I finally get my gaming PC fixed. As for the gameplay being a chore, I'd say that's open to interpretation. It's one of those games that's actually trying to feel like a s...

Re: Analogue Super Nt

I'm curious to hear about this unit, although I do love the heck out of my Retron 5.

Re: Best game on every console you've owned?

Tecmo Super NBA (primarily because I used to play it when I was hiding from my ex-wife in our bedroom) You are not alone, sir! Glad to see so much support for you on this forum, especially from those of us that have been in similar situations. Swap out Tecmo Super NBA for Tecmo Super Bowl, and the ...

Re: Best game on every console you've owned?

Oddly, I played Taipan in college a lot. That is odd because I got my Apple //e in 1987 a few days before I started college and that computer was well on its way out at that time. However, I was one of the few kids around who had his own computer and most students relied on the Macintosh lab on cam...

Re: Best game on every console you've owned?

Hawg Your “hiding from my ex wife in our bedroom” comment made me laugh out loud. You were not alone my friend. :D Luckily I Now have a great girlfriend who actually enjoys gaming some. I spent a lot of time hiding from my ex-wife. I would hide in the bedroom, at friends' homes, in my office -- jus...

Re: Best game on every console you've owned?

Great list, and I'm delighted to see the Odyssey 2, TRS-80 and Apple II on your list. I am also a big fan of StarMaster. Its really a game I keep going back to. I'm awful, so I was never going to win that Activision patch. Toggling the b/w switch really does add something. I'm jealous of everyone w...

Re: Best game on every console you've owned?

Wow. That's difficult, seeing how a lot of my choices are extremely subjective in that I love some of them because of what they represented at the time I was playing them a lot So, here goes: Atari 2600 -- Starmaster (Kool-Aid Man comes in a close second because I had to save up points from Kool-Aid...
