2015/3/21: NES: Balloon Fight, Al Unser Jr. Turbo Racing, Batman

I'm generally a fan of Batman but it is most definitely flawed.  I agree it feels like a generic platformer with a Batman licence slapped on it: if it weren't for the main Batman sprite and the shoe-horned intermission screens, you wouldn't know it was a Batman game.  Since it purports to ...

3DO Zelda?  I must have missed that one!!  I think you may mean CDI Zelda.  Anyway, I have Golvellius but have to admit I haven't really played it properly.  I'll have to give a crack and see how it plays by today's standards.  It did get pretty favourable reviews originally...

2013/2/21: Sega CD: Cliffhanger, Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective

I've had both Sherlock Holmes vol. 2 and the 3DO version for ages now but have never got round to playing them so far...maybe they'll be slightly better, who knows.  I remember vol. 1 making no sense at all: when you go to court and state who you believe the murderer is, the judge will tell you...

2012/12/31: Genesis: Cliffhanger, Combat Cars, Terminator, The

VGC - I haven't played it recently no, but I owned it twice when I was younger and both times I found it a walkthrough.  I appreciate what you are saying but in all honesty if I play it again, I don't think I would have any real trouble beating it.  I can remember it all pretty vividly. &n...

2012/12/31: Genesis: Cliffhanger, Combat Cars, Terminator, The

I was actually astounded to see that The Terminator earned the 'Arthur' award.  Back when it was released it gained a reputation among the press virtually teetering on notoriety for being ridiculously short and easy.  I'll admit the first robot encountered isn't the easiest foe to kill but...

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii console reviews

The Wii was the first console I bought since the N64: as somebody who grew up in the 8/16-bit era I felt that I was growing out of consoles as I used to love the whole pick up and play aspect of old school games, and never liked the idea of putting an afternoon aside just to boot up a PS3 game or wh...

I have to say that in this case, the HOTA review seems harsh.  I've only played Out of this World admittedly (HOTA was never released in the UK), but it was an engrossing adventure that took the Prince of Persia formula to a new level.  The worms on the first screens are actually very easi...

Coke Wins! (Atari 2600)

I just became aware of a game for the Atari 2600 that may have been a Coca-Cola promotion of some sort. <br><br>The game is called "Coke Wins", looks like it was produced by Atari, it is identical in game play to Space Invaders except: <br><br>All of the invaders are letters in the word "Pepsi"<br>T...

New web design

<P>I have followed your website for a while now and I think the new design looks great.  Although if you are on the fence I believe the current look is great.  I do not like when sites get a little too busy.  I lost interest in IGN.com and Gamepro.com with their recent changes.  ...
