Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

I've been interested in this game, but I still haven't tried the Souls series yet, and that's where I plan to start. (I own a couple of them, but just haven't had a chance to play them yet, and could be awhile longer.) If you have a PS3 start with Demons Souls and then go through them sequentially.

Re: Systems I've Neglected?

I'm going to start working off this list, checking off systems as I go. Be patient though. Dump my suggestion on the Sharp X68000. While a nice early 90's Japanese only console/pc hybrid with some amazing arcade ports, I just checked the eBay prices. Used market gone up by an order of magnitude. Wh...

Enjoyed reading, game might give me arthritis though. Joypad taking a pounding.

Better than Nioh but hard to put above Dark Souls.

Re: Is this me or is Dave the Video Game Critic not crazy about the 8th gen as a whole?

I hope it opens a large can of worms as it will show what his polarizing feelings are on this gen as a whole. Polarisation relates to an orientation of the electric field. That polarisation is actually worth something. It has applications. The polarisation you talk of is absolutely worthless, meani...

I’m wondering if age is possibly linked to this topic....

I am just old enough to notice in the mirror a couple of grey beard hairs and a thinning of my noggin. I'm 40 although in two months will be 41.

Re: Is this me or is Dave the Video Game Critic not crazy about the 8th gen as a whole?

It just reddit and certain YouTubers along with critic review makes it hard for me to like this gen, but that just me. Only difference is another generation of kids playing on consoles, changing social norms, higher popularity of social media, and higher participating audience due to more widesprea...

This site is just one fellow writing about the spoils of his hobby, an opinion of the games he plays. Meant for mild entertainment and nothing more. No need to look more deeper than that. If you are wondering about review consistency just ask if the reviewer is applying a filter. There is nothing po...

Re: Streets of Rage 4 is Coming

The art style is offputting but I said that about Wind Waker and it ended up one of my favorite Zelda titles. I wonder if Yuzo Koshiro will be doing the music this time. Streets of Rage 1,2 had some of the most epic tunes ever on console. Streets of Rage 3 on the other hand...

Re: The game that saved EA Star Wars!

Yep just noticed myself. Looks like the first somewhat decent SW game since..... probably Jedi Outcast or KOTOR 2. December 19th will be next big Star Wars Date - will number 9 be good or not? I thought Vader knocked off the Emperor but he is still alive after all those years, no conceivable way of ...

Re: Systems I've Neglected?

I review a wide range of systems and you all know I have my favorites. However, I think there are certain systems I haven't posted reviews for in a while (years) that deserve more attention. There are systems you are missing that have some classic content, i.e. Amiga, Sharp X68000, and even PC game...
