Re: Do you buy a lot of games?

I think owning a small selection of titles applies to most of us. Even as a kid I could not build an extensive gaming library, not only due to finances but time as well - homework, sports, and then the mall or beach hangouts with friends. Time is often the biggest thief of enjoying ones gaming hobby...

Re: Favorite Grunge Albums

Talking about Hair/Glam metal I have been listening to WASP lately. Headless Children is an ATF. The band continued to release material during the Grunge / Nu Metal years. Their release KFD is bizarrely Nine Inch Nails influenced. Now Blackie Lawless has evolved WASP into a Christian Rock band. No d...

Re: Critic, your "favorite" F- game?

 this concept is a hoot, like fondly recollecting the moments when you depressed the toilet handle and watched in horror as the toilet filled up with water with sheets of toilet paper swirling on top. This should be a fun thread. I have never played an F- game, reviewers like the Critic general...

Re: Game Players June 95 Magazine

What is open world anyway? If it is merely a 3D playing field with the player able to direct the character or object in any direction on an x-y plane then Tomb Raider and 3D platformers would indeed fit that category. Croc below is a platformer on the Saturn that was pretty much what you expect from...

Re: Top five list

Yay! I love lists, specifically getting game recommendations from the lists of others. Here we go: 3. NieR: Automata (PS4) - The greatest story and music in any video game. Ever. Beautiful setting, incredible voice acting, engaging gameplay in a gorgeous open world. It’s like Yoko Taru and Platinum...

Re: Star Wars Rise of the Skywalker

Anybody else noticed the Rey could pull a spaceship out of the sky yet Yoda had a hard time with the column falling in Episode 2? Star Wars has always had inconsistencies in force usage or saber fights. Mace Windu punks Darth Sidious, apparently the most powerful force user in the Sith order's hist...

Re: Star Wars Rise of the Skywalker

Ignoring EP7 and 8, my interest in EP9 reached a global minimum when I got wind Sidious was returning. Star Wars in my opinion was essentially a story about the rise of Anakin, the fall of Anakin, and his redemption in fulfilling an ancient prophecy. This story was neutralized when the bad guy that ...

Re: Game Players June 95 Magazine

Well an issue worth pointing out is that programming for multi CPU systems was not standard expected expertise for a gaming developer. A job ad saying "must have minimum 4 years experience working on multi CPU systems" would yield few if any applicants. It is inconceivable to me, given Seg...

Re: The next Nintendo console

Controversial Opinion: I think the time is nigh for Nintendo to ditch their hardware business. While I have enjoyed and owned nearly every Nintendo system released I cannot see continued success for their business if adopting a next iteration of the Switch. While the Switch is doing well with many ...
