Re: 2018/6/29: Genesis: Calibur 50, Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure

Looking at an arcade replay, the orange blobs in Caliber .50 are supposed to be spent shell-casings. They’re ludicrously oversized there, too, though.

Re: 2018/6/12: Turbografx-16: Cratermaze, Dragon's Curse

Things worth mentioning, Cratermaze is actually a port of an obscure Japanese Arcade game called Kid no Hore Hore Daisakusen created by Nichibutsu. And about the gameplay being similar to Bomberman is not a surprise as the Arcade game was directed and designed by Shigeki Fujiwara: https://translate...

Re: Super Retrocade Review

Yeah, absolutely! Given that others had the same problem (as reported on Amazon), I suspect this is a hardware issue. The Critic is far too credulous to think he wouldn’t be seeing these flaws.

I’m going to close out all possibilities, though.

Re: Super Retrocade Review

Re: Super Retrocade Review

It’s only *some* games with the audio issues. I’ve tried a different HDMI cable and tried different ports on the TV. Guess I’ll try it with a capture device to verify that it’s not the TV. Other people on Amazon reported similar issues, so it could be a hardware revision. Mystic Riders runs smoothly...

Re: Super Retrocade Review

I purchased one of these based on your review, and I am having a hard time believing we're playing on the same system. Critic, can you confirm if you're seeing any of these issues? Besides having one controller that didn't work, I found the video skipping to be bad: the system couldn't even get thro...

The game was developed by Double Helix, a US company.

Re: 2017/7/25: Lynx: Ninja Gaiden, Turbo Sub

Odd fact: Turbo Sub was actually a port of a super-obscure arcade game:
