Re: Intellivision Amico Info

I'm a little disappointed because it sounds like the "physical" media is just going to be an electronic code to let you download the game. So for the physical media option you still need to go online? That kind of defeats the purpose. If that was the case I think I'd rather just download ...

Re: Snowmobile Games?

I like where your head is at Lucky. I'm pulling this one out the next time I have friends over. I totally forgot about it. I've been playing it a lot lately. It kind of stinks that you can only race against 4 cpu drivers when you play 2 player split-screen, but it's a great 2-player arcade-style ra...

Re: Snowmobile Games?

I picked up Motorstorm: Arctic Edge for PS2 a couple years back (for dirt cheap too) based on your review. Love that game. Not snowmobile specific, but I thought it was worthy of your high grade. Ever thought about picking that one back up and trying to finish Festival mode?

Re: 2009/2/18: Bally Astrocade: Astro Battle, Bally Pin, Tornado Baseball, Tennis, Hockey, and Handball

I don't think the # at the end of the Astrocade titles represents a year. Each release had a number tacked on to the title. I have no idea why, maybe so you could catalog them via #s? Anyways, it's as confusing to me now as it was then as to why they did it. Some had the # on the box and the actual ...

Nice! The modem was too rich for my paper route. My friend had one and I'd give him some blank Elephant disks and he'd fill them with games.

I've read that "Heart of Africa" is the game that Seven Cities should have been, so I'll have put that one the queue and see how it compares.

Great stuff, looking forward to it. I always wanted to try Heart of Africa back then but couldn't because it was C-64 only

"It's too bad I never played this as a kid because I could see myself losing months at a time in this engrossing, open-world exploration title" You nailed it with the opening line. I was a Day 1 player of Seven Cities on the Atari 800 and if you did play this when you were young, you'd lik...

Re: 2019/9/28: Bally Astrocade: Artillery Duel, Pseudo-ku 2008

Agree completely with the Artillery Duel grade. Simple game with great eye candy. Not sure if you noticed, but SOMETIMES when the soldiers march out, one of them will miss his turn and hilariously scramble back to find his way in line. Funny little quirk they built into the game that used to crack 9...

Re: About the Astrocade...

Great thread! I really need to update my Astrocade section. Any suggestions for new reviews or updates?? Actually, I think Artillery Duel is the only official release you haven't reviewed, that and ICBM Attack which is a Missile Command clone that's super rare and super expensive (and needs a speci...
