Re: Modern Full Price $60 Video Games with YouTube style ads that are unskippable!

FYI, these ads are entirely skippable. It's a "feature" you can turn off in the main options menu. Not sure why they decided including ads in the game was a good idea (maybe to make it more lifelike, as actual NBA games are full of commercial breaks?) but you do have the option to turn the...

Re: Should Yooka-Laylee have the controversial icon or no?

Hate to break it to you, bud, but most of us here on the Internet just don't matter. Sure, there's plenty of talking heads on YouTube who pump out videos telling you what to think, or what to get upset or excited about, but just because they have millions of followers doesn't make their opinions any...

Re: Witcher 3 on Switch - no downloads required

Personally, I'm not too concerned with how the game runs. I'm sure it will be fine. While I don't know much about the publisher of the game, CD Projekt Red, they have a great reputation for quality in the gaming community. I doubt they would have commissioned the Switch port if they had any doubts a...

Witcher 3 on Switch - no downloads required

I know there's a whole separate thread devoted to physical releases, but I saw this little tidbit come out of E3 and couldn't believe nobody's given it its own topic yet. Yes, The Witcher 3 was officially announced for Switch. It's slated to weigh in at about 32 GB, and the publisher is springing fo...

Re: Sonic Team Racing (Switch)

From what I've read of reviews for this game, it seems it even has performance issues on other systems. Gamespot's review specifically mentioned slowdown during split screen races while playing on the PS4 Pro! Easy pass on this one. Not that it was really all that high on my want list, anyway, but w...

Re: Sonic Team Racing (Switch)

Yes, there is a way to unlock a smooth frame rate in splitscreen: Return the game to the store and buy the PS4 or XBOX1 version. LOL! In all fairness, though, it shouldn't be an issue to expect a brand new video game to work well when you bring it home and play it. If it's a choppy, unplayable mess...

Re: Ebay: Then and Now

As someone who's been buying and selling on eBay for 20 years now (!) I can safely say that my favorite feature of the "new" eBay is the printable shipping label option. As shipping rates have skyrocketed in that 20-year time, eBay's ability to let you buy and print your own postage, at a ...

Re: Is it normal for a legitimate Nintendo cartridge to have the version numbers on the back spaced this far apart

I wouldn't worry about either, then. The complete packaging for Doom is enough evidence for me that it's legitimate, and nobody in their right mind would bother to counterfeit Turok 2 . Great point here. While there are plenty of repros floating around out there, most are for very, very rare games....

Re: Is it normal for a legitimate Nintendo cartridge to have the version numbers on the back spaced this far apart

The label looks fine to me, too. Here in the US, our rear cartridge labels for the N64 went through several revisions over time. Some differ in lettering, spacing, and coloring, and I have noticed these differences in many different cartridges I've owned over the years, all legitimate. The older lab...
