Re: Madden 19 (Playstation 4)

Dude, I love your posts. Even though Hawkey season has started, and my attention has largely drifted away from the NFL, hearing about your exploits in Madden has been entertaining, to say the very least. As a lifelong fan of both the Chicago Bears and football video games, I feel like I can relate t...

Re: The Autumn of 2003

Fortunately it helped clear the way for Lovie Smith, and why they let him go after a 10-6 season is beyond me. *nods* Guy could've been Bears coach for life, for all I care. Was there anyone else out there who could've hitched his wagon to Rex Grossman like he did, and ride him all the way to the S...

Give Virtual Hydlide a go on the Sega Saturn... if you dare! Muahahahahaha

Re: Sony Playstation Classic, $99 US, 12/3

One other thing worth noting is that since these controllers are the original ones without the analog stick, would that affect the game selection at all? Personally, I feel like that's the point. The original PlayStation had quite a collection of games built up by the time the Dual Shock controller...

Re: 2018/9/14: Playstation 4: Madden NFL 19, Tempest 4000

The Madden review didn't surprise me, unfortunately. Herschie started a topic a few weeks back about his time with the game, and the general consensus was that the game made a good first impression, before it became obvious that, well, "it's Madden." Another takeaway from that thread is th...

Re: Madden 19 (Playstation 4)

Wow, that was absolutely crazy, and in the Super Bowl, no less! Hey, if it makes you feel better, you did just as well as the real Bears that year! I'm curious at to which system you played on? First things first, that Super Bowl. I had my Madden franchise collapse while the real NFL playoffs were ...

Re: Madden 19 (Playstation 4)

My "holy trinity" of football games will always be Tecmo Super Bowl, Madden '92, and the original NFL Blitz. If I had to stretch it to a top five, I would bump Mutant League Football and one of the 2K games (probably 2K5, maybe 2K2) in there. Not that I haven't played more football games t...

Re: 2018/8/10: Playstation: The Mummy, The Simpsons Wrestling

Talking of trash it must be time to re review Kiss Pinball. That was a real stinker. If I'm remembering it right, KISS Pinball was a budget title, which I think retailed for $9.99. Seemed like there were quite a few brand new PlayStation games that went for the same amount right around the end of t...

Re: Gaming Days probably coming to almost an end.

It's just hard to get started, sometimes; too many options, and too acute a sense of the passage of time. Oh, I hear that. What little bit of my time isn't taken up by work, family, pets, or the yard is very precious to me. It's hard to justify spending that hour or so of time each day sitting down...

Re: Gamers of Today?

These young gamers are behaving the same way we were growing up. Indeed. Did any of us think , when we were younger, "Man, I bet we'll still be playing this game 30 years from now!" For most of us, no, of course not. My family wasn't broke growing up, but if I wanted the new game or conso...
