Re: 2019/4/20: Nintendo Switch: Hollow Knight

I do think it's funny that reviews here on the VGC seem to have been rather "feast or famine" lately, with a noticeable amount of "F" and "A+" scores. Maybe it's just me, but I can't remember the last time I saw The Critic hand out an "A+" in back-to-back revi...

Re: 2019/4/14: NES: Final Fantasy (Guest Review), Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom

Why have review standards at all? In all fairness, the review does state that, "the original NES version is arguably the best." Since we're here arguing about it, well, I feel that the review text is accurate! I feel for ptdebate, really. From what I can gather, his review was edited quit...

Re: All-Digital Xbox One worth it?

As others have pointed out, that price point is way, way too high, especially for a console that is missing features found in the other models currently available. If nothing else, I think it shows that the disc drive and related hardware were not that expensive to produce and manufacture in the fir...

Re: What ever happened to arcade style racing games?

I always loved the lighthearted, carefree nature of arcade racing games. Bright colors, groovy music, and a general layer of cheesiness just added so much to the atmosphere. You're in an arcade - relax, kick back, and have a good time. Heck, some of the games even made you feel good when you lose. S...

Matchstick, you've beaten the original Wizardry? Major props, I could never get past the the floor with all the teleporter traps. Man, what a test of patience that game was, Alucard. Didn't that teleporter level randomly send the entire party into the castle moat, where they'd all drown? That game ...

Re: 2019/4/14: NES: Final Fantasy (Guest Review), Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom

I can't comment on Princess Tomato as it is a game I've never actually played. I did see it available to rent at several video stores when I was younger, but its claymation cover art, combined with its hot-pink packaging, never interested me enough to actually pick the game up and look at it. Funny ...

Re: What do you like/dislike about the site?

Like: * Overall website layout and formatting. I agree with the others, the overall look of the site is a trip down memory lane to a "simpler time." I sweat to Bob, if this site ever gets a facelift, I'm out. Entirely. On the flip side, that might be a good idea for an April Fool's prank....

Re: Wolfenstien New Blood physical Switch copy is a scam

On the plus side, a Micro SD card to expand the system's memory is a very affordable option. I bought a Sandisk brand "ultra high-speed" 128 GB card from Best Buy last holiday season for $20, and it has been worth every penny. In fact, many games installed to the card seem to load faster t...
