Re: 2020/4/1: Genesis: Bob Ross Going Ape S--t

I’m impressed how the programmers implemented blast processing on this one. Could have been a real technical showcase if released.

Re: 2009/2/18: Bally Astrocade: Astro Battle, Bally Pin, Tornado Baseball, Tennis, Hockey, and Handball

This impressively researched video documentary on Space Invaders makes the interesting claim that Astro Battle WAS titled Space Invaders on the initial production run— apparently Midway erroneously thought they had the home rights when they developed their version. I’ve never seen this mentioned els...

Re: What was the challenge you couldn't beat?

As for beating a ridiculous challenge? Finishing Dragon's Lair for NES felt pretty darn good. So did getting a perfect score in Pitfall!, in my case the Intellivision version . I’ve never played the Intellivision version, but I imagine that’s quite a feat. It’s tough as hell to get a perfect on the...

You should definitely play around in the Japanese interface (that’s how you access the international versions, by changing the sy...

Re: 2009/2/18: Bally Astrocade: Astro Battle, Bally Pin, Tornado Baseball, Tennis, Hockey, and Handball

are you sure that astro battle is made in 1977? if yes , that mean space invaders by taito in 1978 is a clone of astro battle? That’s got to be wrong. Other internet sources list it as 1978. Considering that Space Invaders wasn’t released until June of 1978 (July in the US), that’s still an incredi...

Re: Merge Game Boy Reviews?

Despite it being late in life for the Super Nintendo, some of these even got added Super Game Boy enhancements for Nintendo's adapter for the SNES. One such example is the special border in Link's Awakening DX that wasn't present in the original monochrome release in a gray cartridge. There is one ...

Re: 2018/4/10: Super Nintendo: Q*bert 3, Legend

There was also an unreleased arcade sequel called "Faster, Harder, More Challenging Q*bert" (really!).

The programmer released the ROM a while ago. You can see it here:
