Re: 2019/2/13: Atari 2600: Battlezone, Enduro

I loved the home port of Battlezone as a kid. The yellow tanks that appeared as I got deeper into the game always scared my young, emotional mind. Lots of 2600 games had that effect on me. The snakes in Pitfall and Otto from Berserk being two other major ones that had an effect on me.

Re: 2019/1/11: Genesis: Arch Rivals, Wolverine: Adamantium Rage

To be honest, I don't think I ever played the arcade version! Is it on a compilation disc?? You play too many games, VGC! :) It's on the Midway Arcade Origins (Xbox 360) and you even't mentioned it in the review of that compilation: "Arch Rivals is a somewhat cheesy predecessor to NBA Jam"...

How did you think Arch Rivals compared to the arcade version, VGC?

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn

This game was almost a miss for me. It had pacing issues in the beginning and I came within a whisker of ditching it. I persevered and once I broke out of the Sacred Land, it became one of my all time favorites. Fantastic open world, tough but fair enemies, and a very compelling story. The Frozen W...

Horizon: Zero Dawn

I searched the forum for an already existing thread, so if I missed it please combine threads and apologies for missing it. I received Horizon: Zero Dawn (HZD) as a gift last Christmas and it immediately blew me away with its snow-covered environments, character art, and thick atmosphere. But as I u...

Re: New thumbs up/down feature?

-perhaps instead of allowing comments on a review you could provide a link at the bottom of each review that links to the threads that you always post for your reviews in? - I second this idea, and suggested it on a different thread many moons ago. It would drive forum traffic if there was a link a...

Re: New Arcade Systems for $300

I was looking at these today during our black Friday event at the Walmart store I work at. $250 for a cabinet with only two Pac Man games installed. To me, even without knowing the build quality, it seems like a pure cash grab on all levels. If they really cared about the end consumer, even a little...

Re: New thumbs up/down feature?

I think the letter grade system works pretty well in and of itself. However, a way to give direct feedback for the review itself would also be appreciated. :)
