Re: Classic CD-ROM games compatible with Audio Players

Could playing these games potentially "hurt" your normal CD player? I've heard it's possible, although I can't imagine how that would work. I heard something similar when I was younger, though aside from data that screeches, I think the warning was to avoid bad press if something weny wro...

Re: Classic CD-ROM games compatible with Audio Players

Didn't most of them have what's called Redbook audio? Many do, though that is not a 100% guarantee that they will run in an audio player. Over the years I've tried a few here and there, with mixed results. Recently I saw in an article that the Sega CD version of Terminator can be run in an audio pl...

Classic CD-ROM games compatible with Audio Players

I recently picked up the Sega CD Battlecorps and found that it played audio music when inserted into my car's CD player. Does anyone know of any Sega CD/Sega Saturn/Playstation/other CD-ROM titles that will play audio music/tracks when used in an audio CD player? (Note - if only a warning track is p...

Re: New Game Boy Review Trio

It was a behind the batter view. I think it was Extra Bases or maybe Baseball. I'm pretty sure the Gameboy Baseball was better than the NES one, which despite being bad was still kind of fun. Would not have taken much... I recall not enjoying Ken Griffey Jr MLB on GB, though I need to check if a Fr...

Which game by chance? I played several good ones on GBA and one or two on GBC that were good, though I don't recall any good classic GB baseball games.

Re: New Game Boy Review Trio

Here's Hoping for the Donkey Kong Land series, though that one should also include the DKC port on the GBC, given that it is based on the same engine. There's also the Arcade Classic games, of which only a couple have been reviewed thus far (Arcade Classic 1, 2 and 3 haven't been reviewed yet, to my...

Re: Stadia launch lineup announced and still do not care.

I still see ads for the thing, though I would say it is a bit early to call it DOA, as this is the usual slow lull that follows 4th Quarter, where releases are few and far between of anything significant. Usually for something like this that has a backer/producer with the resources the size of Googl...

Re: Microsoft naming fails

Well, that didn't take long. It sounds like the actual name for the new system isn't Series X. It's Xbox with what type of machine being the Series X. So...the new Xbox is going to be called Xbox. Not to be confused with the 2001 Xbox... Holy cow, that came out a long time ago. Don't blink, next th...

Re: Best Game--Every Decade

Oh Gravey, I can't pick a single game for a whole decade... @_@

The 90s alone have WAY too many games to choose from, and even a breakdown by year would be a challenge... >_<;

Re: Microsoft naming fails

Question: is the Super Nintendo a good name? I’ve always felt like it was a natural progression, but looking back, it’s not very creative. Still, I can imagine my beloved console being called anything else. :) I wonder if “Super Wii” would have done better than “Wii U”? I get that it wasn’t really ...
