Re: Jazz

Other than Rock N Roll and Classical music, I've always had a soft spot for Jazz, nice and soothing makes you want to slow dance with your date/spouse/wife. I still have my CD copy of greatest hits of Louis Armstrong, he always makes me smile (does Satchmo grin) whenever I hear it. Hello Dolly, What...

Re: Favorite Batman Films

Great categorization, though you missed one other: The animated category Mask of the Phantasm Subzero Killing Joke As for the live action ones, my favorite is still the original Tim Burton movie. I do have a soft spot for Batman Forever, thanks to the energy of Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones, though...

Re: Best Light Gun Game?

It's Elemental Gearbolt. This game is pretty amazing. I'm sure I took it for granted back in the day, but now it's one of those old titles you cherish. Never heard of Rescue Shot but I'm interested. The concept of Elemental Gearbolt intrigues me. And believe it or not the idea of elemental shots wa...

Re: Best Light Gun Game?

Hmmmm, it would have to be the Die Hard Trilogy based on what I've seen, though I could be wrong. I even remember you once said House of the Dead 2 was the greatest.

Re: Golden Axe trilogy (Retrospective)

Well PixelatedGenocide, to each their own, you can say what you like about it, but let's just wait until the Critic gets his hands on this game, and we'll see what he says about it. You might be surprised. I will admit there are a few weaknesses, but that don't matter to me, I love it for what it is.

Re: Golden Axe trilogy (Retrospective)

I feel disgusted looking at that article. I guess the nostalgia of the other games clouded their judgement. I'm not amused.

Re: Golden Axe trilogy (Retrospective)

Was Golden Axe III a Japanese only release? I don't recall that one. Yes it was, and I was always amused how EGM and other game mags of the day used to warn DO NOT BUY, NOT WORTH IT every time they mentioned it... Oddly, aside from the original Golden Axe, the only other game in the series I had an...

Re: Halloween is Coming!

I've done some reviews of a few good games for Halloween the Critic hasn't reviewed that I'd like to see: House of the dead 4 (PS3) Alone in the Dark the New Nightmare (GBC) Musya: The Classic Japanese Tale of Horror (SNES) Gremlins 2 (NES) Nioh Unlikely: Clock Tower (SNES Japan) Aka Manto and Yuki-...

Afraid so, though there are other methods to play it such as Sega Genesis Collection, Sega Genesis Ultimate Portable Player (which I have, and bought mostly for that game), Sega Channel, and Wii's virtual console.

Golden Axe trilogy (Retrospective)

Time now for a retrospective of Sega's beloved Golden Axe games, the original trilogy. Do these games hold up, or are they relics of the past now? Let's find out! Golden Axe (1989) The one that started it all, the big three Ax Battler, Tyris Flare, and Gilius Thunderhead doing battle against Death A...
