Vigilante 8 (GBC)

After a hiatus, I'm back with another review based on actual play through emulation. Who would have thought that a vehicular combat game could be ported to portable? Don't get too excited though as it's missing some key ingredients to make it a winner. For one thing you get an almost full roster of ...

Re: Your Favorite Multi-Genre video games?

This was a tough one for me, but here's a few good ones: Mario Tennis (GBC) - like what was mentioned above, Tennis with an RPG touch as well, not everyday you get something like that plus a wide range of minigames. The Sly Cooper series is platform, stealth, rhythm, driving, and shooting all in one...

Spider-man 2 (GBA)

This review is based on actual gameplay (through emulation) Spider-man 2 is one of my all-time favorite movies and even though I haven't played the console versions, this one comes close to having a genuine experience surprisingly despite the limitations. The graphics are quite good for the characte...

Re: Secret of Mana (SNES)

Want pixelated? If you're playing the game on the SNES Classic use the pixel perfect mode and voila!

Re: 2020/3/21: Saturn: Hi-Octane, Impact Racing

Did you know that Twisted Metal's original title was High Octane? Found that out in one of the "lost endings" of the original PS1 game. It's found in the Sweet Tooth ending, which I can give you here:

Re: Favorite Resident Evil Games?

I've only played three: Resident Evil Gaiden, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil Deadly Silence/Director's Cut. Of that bunch, I'd say my favorite is the 2nd one. Enormous amounts of replay, cooler weapons, creepier environments and monsters, better voice acting (hearing Leon's "Ada.....ADA!!!!...

Seiken Densetsu 3 (Trials of Mana)

After taking a hiatus due to preparing for a National Exam for a certification in medical coding (which got recently cancelled, but I'm not blaming anyone), I'm back for another review, based on actual gameplay from years ago, thanks to emulation. This game did get translated into English in recent ...

Re: Secret of Mana (SNES)

Nope. Anyway I'm at the part of the game where I'm facing two werewolves in the haunted forest and they are kicking my ass. Advice? Also, what is the balloon that sometimes appears? Since you probably didn't obtain the girl beforehand, you're best advice is to restart and follow these steps to obta...

Yu-Gi-Oh Dark Duel Stories (GBC)

This review is based off actual play from years ago. I was once a fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh series and this game helped me better appreciate the game. There are some things in this game that didn't get carried over to other games, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun. Stuff like elemental advantages, and fu...

Re: 2020/3/15: Playstation 4: Onrush, Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn

I was not expecting Shaq-Fu A Legend Reborn to get any higher than an F grade, and that is saying something. Guess the developers learned from the big mistake from decades ago and learned to pull out a few stops, if not all of it. Not perfect, but it's still a major improvement. Granted I still have...
