Re: Why the WII-U is now my 'go to' console.

I need to pick-up another Wii U console now that prices seem to have bottomed-out. Very under-rated...this (or last) generation's Saturn. Great games cheap(ish), get 'em while you can... I actually did get a second Wii-U as an extra since I decided it was the console that would get most of my atten...

Re: Why the WII-U is now my 'go to' console.

Yeah, I'm with you - I bought a Wii U about a year ago and I'm glad I did. I was itching for a Switch, just to play Breath of the Wild. Instead, I got a Wii U with Breath of the Wild, plus like 15-20 other games. I paid less for that than I would have paid for the Switch set-up. And it scratched my...

Re: Why the WII-U is now my 'go to' console.

Or you could sell all of your systems and games and have more than enough for your Switch. Who needs all 3 anyway? Lol—just had to throw that out there. I’m hoping Santa brings me a Switch. :) Honestly, I like the Idea that while I could afford to get a switch and whatever games I want to go along ...

Why the WII-U is now my 'go to' console.

Recently, I was laid off from my job as a 'Testing / Data Analyst' with the local school board due to the position being eliminated and was transferred to a new job with the same hourly salary that (LOL) may or not involve a school bus. Because of this , I have a few hours in the afternoon to kill b...

Re: About the Astrocade...

If I could go back in time I'd love to browse around those old departments stores like Montgomery Ward and peruse the latest in "high tech" merchandise. I'd probably go on a shopping spree. For the Atari 2600 I 'specialize' (aka spend the most money) on Sears Tele-Games branded games and ...

Re: The Game Boy Advance library is massive

Long live the GBA! My hidden gems list includes: Colin McRae Rally 2.0, Racing Gears Advance, karnaaj rally, and Drill Dozer One of the things I’ve noticed about the Game Boy advance library is how massive it is. Seriously, I have a good amount of games, but feel like I have barely scratched the sur...

Re: About the Astrocade...

The first time I picked up a video game controller (Atari 2600 naturally) would have been around 1982 at a friends house. I don't remember seeing anything video game related in a store until probably 3-4 years later. I had an Atari 7800 at that point and there were a bunch of games in a dump bin at ...

Re: About the Astrocade...

You can play it online in your internet browser: https://archive.org/details/Incredible_Wizard_The_1981_Astrovision Or try out other Astrocade games: https://archive.org/details/bally_astrocade_library I thought 'incredible wizard' was pretty decent and I ordered a copy from fleabay, but my favorite...

About the Astrocade...

Long time lurker, first time poster to this wonderful website! I recently became the proud owner of a Bally Astrocade! It is a console that has fascinated me for a long time, and I first became aware of it right here! I did not expect to ever own one due to their rarity and reliability, figuring it ...
