My girlfriend collects vinyl, and I like the sound that it has, as well as the feeling of having a big-ass record and packaging. I think I like cassettes best for combining the convince and portability of digital, while retaining the analog sound that's similar to vinyl. I hope that rides the curren...

So with me being mildly obsessed with D&D, especially since COVID-19 has kept me at home, I've been getting into solo RPG'ing, and this dungeon crawler, Four Against Darkness, could be my favourite, though not without caveats. 4AD can be played by yourself, or DM'd with a group of friends, a fle...

While I love the convenience and frequent discounts that digital media has to offer, and I wouldn't wanna do away with it, at the same time, I also love and miss the thrill of getting a real-ass box and manual myself, especially when the manual has extra care put into it. The old MicroProse manuals,...

I have this one on Switch as well! It was my first time playing, and I enjoyed it and the challenge a lot. Simple, but fun, and you reviewed it well! If you ever wanna play multiplayer, I might be down.
Wow, they've been around since I was just the weird kid who liked games before my time (and current gen as well). Most impressive. On a side note, I wish more of the homebrews had ROMs available for purchase. I wanna play 'em, but I don't currently have a 2600 system to play them on. I still love th...
Have you ever played the original arcade version? i like that one best. I like the PS1 version as well, but 30 continues seemed a bit generous to me. And I missed the original concise soundtrack. Still not a bad port, though.
I love those games, too, and I'm glad I'm not alone! They're mega hard at times, but save/reload isn't hard in DOSBox. :P. I particularly liked how battle-heavy the Krynn games are. I'm working through Death Knights now. I'd love to see a remaster or remake of these on PC or Switch. And if you wanna...
The old MS-DOS/Amiga Krynn trilogy is my favourite D&D game so far, and their box art isn't too shabby. The Dark Queen one in particular seems steeped in late 80/early 90's scantily clad style that seemed to be popular in the AD&D era. On a side note, I've actually been on a MASSIVE D&D ...

I'm lucky in that my brother usually is down to play with me, even living in different states, but finding a group for multiplayer can be a pain sometimes, especially with older titles. There's quite a few MS-DOS titles I wanna run multiplayer (Syndicate and Descent come to mind), but that can be tr...
