On a completely side note- there was recently released a DCHDMI mod that you can get for your Dreamcast. Unlike these plug and plays, this offers a huge upgrade to the graphics of your Dreamcast. Currently, I'm waiting for my pre-order to get fulfilled (probably in Feb sometime) and then I have to g...

Yeah, if you're considering the Pi as an option against these plug and plays, I would recommend just going with that. I think there is definitely a collectible + convenience of getting plug and plays (for example I got a snes classic for my nephews for X-mas) however none of them are comparable to j...

Glad you're going to review these. These are one of the few (better) U.S. turbografx games I haven't picked up. They always seemed a bit "eh..." but I'm excited to see what you have to say about them.
Yeah, unfortunately complete copies are often "reproduced" for these consoles. If you have a ton of games and you want to check quickly without necessarily having to open up each of them (although you probably want to open an Mario, Zelda, Castlevania, Metroid, Pokemon, or high dollar game...
Yeah, I think I've gotten pretty good at spotting the fakes at this point. Some of the things I've started looking for is the label- is it blurry, anything misspelled, is the sticker the right sticker? Several of the fakes I spotted were from fakes being either slightly zoomed in, the wrong cover ar...
So I have recently been expanding my GBA collection and have had to give myself a crash course for spotting fake gba games. As I have been going to game stores and online shopping I have started to realize how many fake gba games are out there. They are everywhere. In the last week I have identified...

I love Annihilation. I thought it was a great movie and Natalie Portman did a wonderful job. One of my favorite sci-fi/horror (ish) movies from the last year. I also watched the first two Die Hard movies for the holidays this year, lol. Both have stood the test of time and are silly, holiday action ...
So the way I understand these cables is that they don't offer any sort of upscaling and are more like a good, clean component cable. These types of cables aren't a replacement for an HDMI mod but should offer a better visual than composite and are likely to have minimal lag. I have something simila...

I saw one of these at Walmart as well, fully setup. It's soooo short and looks pretty cheaply made... It looks a lot less impressive once it's setup. This is definitely not a replacement to having an actual arcade machine. I was all for the idea but I'm not a fan of the execution.
