Re: The Horror Movie Lovers Thread

I like your description of Hereditary, I agree completely. I've always thought that the movie was poorly received by viewers (at theaters) because it was advertised as something it wasn't. The trailers really made it seem more traditional and fast paced, compared to the slow burn, thinking film that...

Re: Tattoos

Cool tattoo. I started getting tattoos when I was`in my early twenties. I think for about 6-7 years I got a new tattoo every 2-4 months. I honestly am not sure how many tattoos I have at this point. Most of my arms are covered, my back is fully covered, and I have a few in other random spots on my b...

Snes Drunk is pretty interesting. He's videos are fairly short and he uploads pretty frequently. Some of his most useful videos I've found are when he goes over english friendly import games.

Re: Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees?

Honestly, I think Michael Myers and jason Voorhees are both pretty boring horror icons. I would throw my $0.02 in to Freddy Krueger. I think he really did something different for 80's horror slashers (at least in his first film), killing people in their dreams where they are least vulnerable. Leathe...

Re: The Horror Movie Lovers Thread

Anyone see The Lighthouse? The movie came out last week and is from the creator of The Witch. The interesting part of the movie is that it is shot in black and white and looks like a movie from the 1920's-30's. The movie stars Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe and is a crazy trip. You basically get ...

Re: The Horror Movie Lovers Thread

Been eying a particular indie horror film for a while- The Wind. The movie just released on blu ray a couple days ago and finally got to watch it last night. Definitely in my top 3 favorite horror films for the year. Best way I can describe the movie is a Western meets The Witch. If you like slow bu...

Re: $10K for an unopened NES game?

Honestly, sometimes on sites like this the purchase may go through however the buyer of the item doesn't pay. Sometimes when people are charging ridiculous prices, buyers will do that. Not sure if this is what happened with that item, I would think there is a decent chance that this happened. Either...

Re: Do reproduction manuals exist and how does one identify them from original ones?

Yeah, just like reproduction boxes, they exist. Honestly, the repro manuals can differ in quality by quite a bit so without pulling up a real manual and comparing it side by side they would be hard to spot. I guess some ways you can spot them would be comparing the manual paper from other games from...

Re: The Horror Movie Lovers Thread

I've been looking for to see I Saw the Devil for a while. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll be picking it up once it comes out on blu ray later in the month. I recently watched Midsommer which I thought was pretty solid. A bit long but a good follow up to Hereditary. For being a movie that takes place m...
