To me that looks even worse... like someone made a mistake with the background coloring. Very distracting.

I don't know. For some reason, this bothers my eyes when I try to read it. I don't know if it's the white text against the blue background or maybe it's my brain trying to make sense of lines behind the text at strange intervals, but I really dislike it.

Nice reviews! I have homebrew conversion releases of these for the ColecoVision and I agree, Bank Panic is quite a fun game. And I also considered downgrading Hang On II because I noticed when replaying it I had some difficulty with my game ending abruptly. But I think your comment regarding it bein...

I don't know, Dave. I tried all of the variations in Super Breakout including progressive and didn't notice a difference in the control. Although my paddles aren't perfect. They do have a tiny bit of jitter, but it doesn't seem to be any worse in the progressive variation.
