Re: VGC Anti Atari??

I like the system as is. Its akin to giving stars in a review. The idea here is for Dave to *rank* the games in a library based on how much fun he had, not bin them into demonstrable a group of good games and a bucket of crap games. Even if he did that, I suspect people would just change the goalpos...

Re: Telltale games shuts down

My understanding is the four chapter final season is only partly done. Episode 2 is ready for release, but there is debate on whether fans should buy it as the creative team can no longer benefit at all. There may be some hope that the game is finished by someone else, but seems rather unlikely. May...

Re: 2018/9/21: Game Boy Advance: Spy Hunter / Super Sprint

I am afraid I have to agree with Dave here on the sensitivity of the controls. I really enjoyed Spy Hunter in the arcades, and later on the C-64, but this one is disappointing. Having overly sensitive controls seems like something even minimal playtesting would uncover.

Re: Sony Playstation Classic, $99 US, 12/3

They are getting more expensive. The $99 price was probably a target, and they may have ditched the analog controllers to get there. I could guess the price is in party climbing due to the popularity of the NES retro console, which also anchored the price. This is a much later system, so therefore, ...

I enjoy being outside in the Fall, if I can. For me, give me the dark of Winter evenings.

Re: VGC Anti Atari??

Say what? I haven't seen that thread(s), but I guess I'll have to investigate them now. Not to speak on your behalf, but I think you actually champion the system: A) That Atari joystick is in your banner B) That Warlords/Medieval Mayhem seem to be favorites of yours C) That this forum is a place fan...

Re: Who didn't own a NES in the 80's?

Disclaimer - I’m from the UK. Americans tend to find it hard to believe that the NES wasn’t a thing in Europe because it was so massive over there and in Japan. We have had similar conversations before on the success of the NES in America. I had a Commodore C64 during the mid and late 1980s. My exp...
