Re: Tecmo Super Bowl (SNES)

I have the Genesis counterparts (Tecmo Super Bowl, Special Edition and Final Edition) and simply put....these games will never become boring or stale. Vintage rosters from the golden era of the NFL (early '90's), easy to play and for those of us who are statistic nuts a very cool league leaders boar...

Re: Blu Ray Fail

Can you imagine if they made old discs obsolete and/or not function? Hopefully they will never think about doing that because people would throw a fit. I can tell you think much---I will never "upgrade" to Ultra 4k Blu Rays. Forget it. Blu Ray is the last physical media format (for movies...

Re: Microvision System Review

This is very cool!!! Thank you Retro Strife & VGC! I never had one of these but do remember the commercial for it making me want one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRqYa6yL8Jk The Friday the 13th Pt. 2 photo was a nice touch too. I didn't realize that they were playing Microvision (I would hav...

Atari 7800 Games....Food Fight, Joust and Commando

One man's opinion: 1. I think Food Fight is the MOST overrated video game I've ever played. Boring game premise and little to no motivation to want to see all the levels (50 I think)....just a big yawn. B-/c+ at best 2. Joust just RULES on the 7800.......played with the Sega Genesis controller - jus...

Re: Madden Day

"I just don't recall the passes being so difficult to complete, but then again, the Bears did finish 5-11 in 2000. I lost badly to the Lions in the Silverdome." Just so you know, Bears place kicker Paul Edinger is still a bad curse word for us devout Lions fans. Xmas Eve 2000, last regular...

Re: New Stuff on Atari Age

While it isn't exactly a new game on Atari Age..... I'd recommend checking out Star Castle for the 2600. Bought it a few years ago and finally pulled it out over the past weekend. Just an AMAZING rendition of the vector graphic arcade classic. I never owned a Vectrex so my only memories are from pla...

Re: The Bubble 1966

An update: while this wasn't the movie I was looking for it certainly was a "it is so cheesy-bad that it is actually pretty interesting" type of flick. I did get the Rhino version and was very impressed with the 3-D effects.

Thanks again for the input Stalvern.

Re: The Bubble 1966

Childhood memories can be funny things......I still am not sure if this is the movie I'm seeking and that radio scene is the only thing I am sure of. But seeing how cheesy it appears to be I think I'm going to take a gamble on it.

Thank you for your efforts Stalvern.

The Bubble 1966

Help me! I am trying to find a movie that I watched on a late Saturday night on a local Detroit TV station in the very late 70's or 1980 or 1981.....people were trapped in a dome or a force field and couldn't get out. I was pretty young and remember very little about it. I think it was this movie: h...

Re: Scotland! O2 help!

While I am no Scotland, my O2 is the only gaming system that I use an old VCR to run it through and it works well (just in case you do not wish to attempt to open up a 40 year old electronic device.) Best of luck!
