Henry Explorers (Crypt Killer) - Saturn

Holy crap! This game is ugly! Makes Saturn House of the Dead look...less crappy. But it is still quite playable and fun. Weird, ugly, fun...

Re: 2020/1/25: Atari 7800: Dark Chambers, Serpentine

Kind of surprised by the low Serpentine score. Played the heck out of it in the mid 80s on the old 800XL and genuinely enjoyed it. Like Pac-Man crossed with Shark! Shark! (soft of). Granted, haven't touched it for almost 30 years. Just got the Atari re-hooked up, will give it another go!

Re: PS4 and Xbox One remote play

I tried the remote-play thing with my Xbox One and PC shortly after I got it. I suppose it would work for some games, but there was just enough lag/stuttering with the game I tried (Trackmania) that it didn't seem worth it. Note: this was all done wirelessly.

Re: Remember Type-In Games?

Like you, I had an Atari computer (800XL), and would type in programs from Antic and ANALOG magazines. Some decent (at the time) games, as well as graphics and sound demos. Haven't dabbled with programming for a few years, though hope to give Python a try shortly.

Re: Tua

Even as a pro-Clemson (and subsequently anti 'Bama) fan, you don't want to see anyone hurt like this.

I hope the photographer from the Georgia game is okay, too.

Re: Why the WII-U is now my 'go to' console.

I need to pick-up another Wii U console now that prices seem to have bottomed-out. Very under-rated...this (or last) generation's Saturn. Great games cheap(ish), get 'em while you can...

Homebrew and Imports

Guess I'm kind of jaded with current gen offerings, and I'm too cheap to blow major coin on the shmups/fighting games/whatever I SHOULD have picked-up 20 years ago. Where does that leave me? The brave new (old) world of homebrew and Import games! After reading Dave's reviews, went ahead and got Batt...

Re: Entombed for the Atari 2600 mystery

Sounds like it could be Dung Beetles on the Apple II, aka Mega-Bug on the Tandy Color Computer, aka Magneto Bugs on the Atari 8-bit? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRPnmy5YsCE Wow, I haven't seen or even thought about that game for years. It was the "demo game" running on the Color Compu...

Re: The Nintendo Switch game ports are like the modern equivalent to the Sega Saturn ports!

I don't think that Switch "dither transparency" example is the result of underpowered hardware, just a creative decision by the designers of the game.
