Re: NES Classic Impressions

I suppose we'll soon learn one way or another if there's a future for this new product line, at least where Fall 2018 is concerned. Nintendo announced the NES Classic Edition on July 14th 2016 and the SNES Classic Edition on June 26th of last year. So we're certainly in that time frame to be hearin...

Re: 2018/8/4: Nintendo 64: Bomberman 64, International Superstar Soccer

I recently found out that there was a 3d Bomberman platformer on the N64 called Bomberman Hero. While I haven't yet been able to give it a try, that might be more to your liking.

Seems to be somewhat unknown, but reasonably well liked by those that have played it.

Re: Another disadvantage of digital distrubution!

You act as if they forced their customers to uninstall against their will or are preventing them from ever redownloading their purchases, which isn't so.

Re: PS4 controller for PS3 games?

Is compatibility still limited, or did Sony fix it with a firmware update? Was far from a 1:1 replacement a while back. Gran Turismo 6, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, and I believe Ico are games I ran across issues with when I tried it several years ago. And other than the obvious lack of Six ...

Re: The Crew 2 game review

I enjoyed The Crew and look forward to the sequel. I also loved the Test Drive Unlimited series, which many of these developers previously had worked on. The big problem here isn't all the post release support in my opinion, it's that they continue to saddle the game with an always online requiremen...

Re: 2018/7/6: Playstation 2: Sprint Cars: Road To Knoxville

Ever been to a sprint car race? It's quite a spectacle if you never have. I bet you'd like World of Outlaws: Sprint Cars 2002 for the PS2. I believe I've mentioned it before, but it was a very good game from a normally PC only Australian developer that carved a niche out back in the late 90's and ea...

Re: I love Switch, but....

I'd actually like to see a consolized Switch with a Pro Controller be offered. As a Wii U owner, I find the Switch lineup pretty disappointing so far. So much of the best offerings are games I've already played. I don't know what Nintendo is even thinking here. Wasn't the entire point of this hybrid...

Re: 2018/6/29: Genesis: Calibur 50, Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure

I believe that much like the 32X version of Pitfall, the Jaguar port runs at a very inconsistent 30 fps. Sega CD gets my vote with its cd soundtrack combined with all the positive attributes of the regular Genesis version like its smooth 60 fps, higher detailed backdrops than the SNES version, and m...

Re: NES Classic Impressions

Another Classic Controller benefit is that the home button, which is absent on actual NES/SNES Classic gamepads, is functional here. It allows you to access the dashboard without getting up and hitting the reset button on the NES Classic (Same holds true for last Fall's SNES Classic). There is one c...
