Re: Evercade Premium Pack review

I inquired at AtariAge about the difficulty switches for 2600 games. There does seem to be limited control of them.

Re: Evercade Reviews?

Update - the music in Side Pocket is fine, but the mini-HDMI connection is very temperamental. If you jostle it while playing it will reset the system. Also, I'm going to blame this for some of the audio issues I've been seeing, since it doesn't happen when I play using the system's screen. Are you...

Re: PolyMega Retro System

It's my understanding that they want to add additional platforms in the future. I believe that's a big reason why they've gone the modular route. I don't know about Dreamcast support. Can your average DVD drive read the proprietary GD-ROM format (Essentially a CD derivitive with several hundred MB's...

Re: PolyMega Retro System

I don't know about Dreamcast support. Can your average DVD drive read the proprietary GD-ROM format (Essentially a CD derivitive with several hundred MB's of additional storage)? Dreamcast GD-ROM drives can obviously read CD's, but I'm skeptical that a standard CD-ROM drive (Do they even still make ...

Re: Am I the only person that hates rumble??

I've been impressed with the rumble in the Xbox One gamepad's analog triggers. Several racing games like Dirt 4 take full advantage of it to help you get a feel for what your car is doing. It's well enough done that it feels strange and more difficult to drive when the batteries get low and the syst...

Re: New handheld with physical carts - Evercade

December 31st is just an Amazon placeholder. The release date is TBA and hopefully much sooner than that.

People have been importing PC Engine Mini's, so some of these have already been produced.

Re: PS3 Eulogy

There's some hope at AtariAge that a cap kit is all that's needed to fully fix the common YLOD problem with backwards compatible PS3 models. So might be worth sticking it on a shelf and waiting to see what happens. https://atariage.com/forums/topic/298081-ps3-40g-with-backwards-capabilityred-ring/#c...

Yeah, I'm afraid so.

It's a digital program from developer/publisher Hamster that sells emulated arcade classics for $8 a pop on the Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.

Re: Atari Flashback X

No word yet on a major refresh of their Atari Flashback Portable, which has essentially remained the same since it first launched in 2016. Hopefully it happens, but right now they seem distracted by their Legends Ultimate arcade cabinet rather than investing major effort into their plug and play lin...
