Re: Component cables for old systems

They don't require curved CRT's, even though that's a regularly repeated myth at classic gaming forums. I play NES Zapper games on a flat screen Sony Trinitron CRT, for instance. They do however depend on CRT technology to work, but some efforts are underway to solve some of these issues such as for...

Re: Component cables for old systems

NES doesn't natively support RGB. You need an expensive modification to it to get RGB out of it. At this point, I'd just recommend looking into the Retro USB AVS system. Worth noting also that the SNES redesign from 1997 or so also doesn't support RGB natively, but can be easily modded to do so. Sam...

Re: Mario Maker 2

Super Mario 3D World is the style, not Super Mario Land. :) I'm not posting so much to correct you as to add that I'd love to see a Super Mario Land style be included here. While I suspect you meant Super Mario 3D Land, I'd love to see a Super Mario Land 1 or 2 style. There's a conspicuously empty s...

Re: Move over, ATGames. M2 is here to save the day!

Still missing stuff in my book like a few major 1st party releases, but amazing lineup none the less so far. Of the big Japanese 3rd parties, I'm mostly happy with what I see and I've been very pleased with what's included from Konami and Capcom. But it needs one more staple and that's Capcom's Merc...

Re: Another 3rd paty dev jumps on the Switch bandwagon.

Banjo, I've been meaning to ask if you ever post at GameFaqs. I rarely do but was pretty active in a thread about Limited Run Games releasing Axiom Verge a while back, and wondered if the Banjo I was talking to over there in that thread a few months ago was you. As for Devil May Cry on the Switch, I...

Re: The polymega

If AtariAge is to be believed, this is little more than a scam. Reading that thread casually from time to time, the widely held feeling seems to amount to the best case scenario being that they'll eventually deliver an overpriced product that far under-delivers on their many promises (Many of which ...

Re: Disc less Xbox 1 (the critic is going to love this)

Not familiar with the MSRP of their current system bundles, but if it was cheaper, it's a smart option for them to offer. While I'm happy that the majority still seem to appreciate having a physical disc drive, a substantial minority are barely using them these days. Makes sense to offer them a chea...

Re: 2019/5/4: SG-1000: Golgo 13, James Bond 007

It's a SG-1000 game. SC-3000, which essentially was the Sega equivalent of the Coleco ADAM, is on the artwork just to advertise compatibility with Sega's computer that also plays SG-1000 software. SG-1000.jpg The cartridge in fact lists it first and foremost as an Othello Multivision game. That was ...

Re: SNK 40th Anniversary Collection (Switch)

Switch version has had a fair share of bugs as well and multiple patches. It's probably in a good state now, but hopefully so will be the PS4 version soon enough. So I'm not sure it's worth rebuying on that basis alone, but if you use your Switch as a handheld at times, that's a perfect excuse to ow...

Japanese copies tend to be much cheaper for the Saturn.
