Re: New handheld with physical carts - Evercade

December 31st is just an Amazon placeholder. The release date is TBA and hopefully much sooner than that.

People have been importing PC Engine Mini's, so some of these have already been produced.

Re: PS3 Eulogy

There's some hope at AtariAge that a cap kit is all that's needed to fully fix the common YLOD problem with backwards compatible PS3 models. So might be worth sticking it on a shelf and waiting to see what happens. https://atariage.com/forums/topic/298081-ps3-40g-with-backwards-capabilityred-ring/#c...

Yeah, I'm afraid so.

It's a digital program from developer/publisher Hamster that sells emulated arcade classics for $8 a pop on the Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.

Re: Atari Flashback X

No word yet on a major refresh of their Atari Flashback Portable, which has essentially remained the same since it first launched in 2016. Hopefully it happens, but right now they seem distracted by their Legends Ultimate arcade cabinet rather than investing major effort into their plug and play lin...

Re: No one to play games with

As a general rule I don't discuss religion or politics with friends. That's how I KEEP my friends! This. I quit talking politics, especially on Facebook, because I've lost contact with way too many people over stupid political crap. I'll certainly never mention it on a video game board. Am I a libe...

Re: Analogue Pocket

Analogue sold the three-pack of cartridge adapters for the Mega Sg for $50 (Sega MyCard, Game Gear, and SG-1000). Worth noting though that all three Analogue FPGA based systems have seen unofficial "jailbreak" firmware that enable the loading of roms via the SD card slot. So even though I ...

Re: Analogue Pocket

As one that wants this more so for playing the games on a television, I sure wish there were going to be two releases.

One that's a handheld with an optional dock is of course a good idea, but I believe many of their customers would be perfectly happy paying $200 for a fully consolized version.

Re: Analogue Pocket

They're very high quality. I hated to miss out on their $500 Nt Mini (Their NES system), but the much more affordable Super Nt (SNES) and Mega Sg (Genesis) systems are in regular use in my house. Great way to bring these classic platforms forward into the modern HD era. Looking forward to the Pocket...
