Re: Xbox One backwards compatiility

Original Xbox has tons of great titles left. There's only 40 compatible titles on the Xbox One and only a handful of those are actually hits, with most of it just 2nd tier material. Even for the original Xbox games available digitally now or in the past on the Xbox 360 marketplace (Remember the Xbox...

Re: Xbox One backwards compatiility

I'm not so sure. I suspect it's dead for good. I'm not convinced Xbox One backwards compatibility will be difficult to achieve. All the rumors point towards PC style evolution, so it should be able to relatively easily natively play this library, much as the Wii U has perfect Wii compatibility. Plus...

Re: Konami planing a TurboGrafx-16 Mini!

Konami has a history of hiring M2 for their emulation needs, so hopefully that practice continues.

Re: Xbox One backwards compatiility

The Xbox One backwards compatibility program got its last game announcements earlier this evening. These will be added in the coming weeks. Also, the emulated Xbox 360 content in Rare Replay will be getting Xbox One X enhanced patches. Xbox -Armed and Dangerous -Indiana Jones & the Emperor's Tom...

Re: I hate listening to the news. Anyone else?

I don't really pay attention anymore. It's just a platform for a few billionaires to push their weight around in an attempt to brainwash society and ultimately further line their pockets. Mainstream media largely doesn't represent me and often works to villainize today's silent majority, so I just e...

Re: River Raid (Intellivision)

While nothing can dethrone the 2600 original, it's a nice and unique variant.

Re: Component cables for old systems

They don't require curved CRT's, even though that's a regularly repeated myth at classic gaming forums. I play NES Zapper games on a flat screen Sony Trinitron CRT, for instance. They do however depend on CRT technology to work, but some efforts are underway to solve some of these issues such as for...

Re: Component cables for old systems

NES doesn't natively support RGB. You need an expensive modification to it to get RGB out of it. At this point, I'd just recommend looking into the Retro USB AVS system. Worth noting also that the SNES redesign from 1997 or so also doesn't support RGB natively, but can be easily modded to do so. Sam...

Re: Mario Maker 2

Super Mario 3D World is the style, not Super Mario Land. :) I'm not posting so much to correct you as to add that I'd love to see a Super Mario Land style be included here. While I suspect you meant Super Mario 3D Land, I'd love to see a Super Mario Land 1 or 2 style. There's a conspicuously empty s...

Re: Move over, ATGames. M2 is here to save the day!

Still missing stuff in my book like a few major 1st party releases, but amazing lineup none the less so far. Of the big Japanese 3rd parties, I'm mostly happy with what I see and I've been very pleased with what's included from Konami and Capcom. But it needs one more staple and that's Capcom's Merc...
