Playstation Now

I decided to give this a try. I swear it's as if someone from Sony played Action 52 for the first time and decided to release a service where you pay to play a collection of the crappiest games!

Fortunately they have a free 7-day trial.

Re: ICBM Attack (Bally Astrocade)

"Those are Minuteman Missiles. They're on their way to Russia. They take thirty minutes to reach their target!". "So do theirs. Right?" In the early 80s, nuclear war seemed to be on everyone's mind, so that's why you seem to see a lot of games like this around the time. Plus the ...

Re: Virtua Racing (switch)

The Genesis version is fun, though probably shouldn't have been attempted. The graphics are scaled way back and it seems like my poor Genesis is gasping for air. Interesting to see what they could do though.

Re: Ninja Gaiden (NES/Lynx)

The game seems challenging, but not impossible. Definitely far easier than Ghosts N Goblins, especially once you figure out the timing. That's why it's good that I'm a CRT nut because there is no input lag. I guess rummaging through my neighbor's trash really paid off, though my wife was really mort...

Re: Virtua Racing (switch)

Just played it now. To tell you the truth, I want to get it on the Genesis or the Dreamcast if they made it. My eyes get tired with the razor-sharp graphics, though they're nice. 240p or 480i on a CRT would be just dandy. And who needs textures? We can, and do have fun without them! And, yes, Critic...

Re: Lakers vs. Celtics and the NBA Playoffs (Sega Genesis)

Paxson is about as bad in this game as he is in the front office! I do myself a favor and put in BJ Armstrong or Craig Hodges instead. Whoa, I take that back! Pax just led me back from an 11-point 4th quarter deficit. What's more is I was playing 2 minute quarters. He had two four point plays that ...

Re: Lakers vs. Celtics and the NBA Playoffs (Sega Genesis)

I remember there were certain spots of the floor where you could hit the A button and score at will. I especially remember John Paxton of the Bulls could always drive the hoop for an easy layup from the free-throw line. Paxson is about as bad in this game as he is in the front office! I do myself a...

Re: Light Crusader

As you can imagine with COVID-19 going around, I've been playing quite a few games. Combine this with the fact that I'm playing video games all day while I'm making sales, and you can see how I'd be on the lookout for something new. The thing of it is, I actually put up some decent sales numbers. It...
