Retro Consoles:
NES2- RGB SCART modded

N64- Ultra HDMI Mod

I'm curious as to how these look, especially the N64 compared to the Virtual Console versions.

I mulled over getting RBI dur the Switch so I could play on the patio, but it's a little too late in the season now. I'm smoking a cigar out there, and it's 36 degrees out in Chicago.

I'll just stick to The Show.

Major League Baseball 2K5 (XBox)

When I play games like this, I get angry at these stupid exclusive licensing deals and how little progress has been made because of them. Back in 2005, we had options for both baseball and football. For baseball, we had MVP 2005, which was fantastic, MLB 2006,the precursor to The Show. I don't remem...

Re: When aging electronics fail

And still, how many of us had an Xbox 360 crap out while our NES or Master System were still kicking like the day they were unboxed?

I'm SCARTing!

Not too long ago, I came across a video on YouTube about how to make your consoles look their absolute best on your TV. I had heard about SCART here and there, but never really paid much attention. Sounded like you needed a mod, and I didn't want to deal with it. So I suffered with composite for the...

Re: PS2 via HD component cable 480i

This was actually next on my list to buy, since I've finally accepted the fact that the Framemeister can't magically take composite and make it look like a crystal clear 1080p signal (Though it really does a remarkable job trying). I actually need to buy a component switchbox, since I use it for my ...

Re: Madden 19 (Playstation 4)

One thing I like to do in Madden is play a season on All-Madden, then figure out which exploits I can use to win. I figure that since the computer cheats like hell on All-Madden, then there's no-holds barred when it comes to money plays and nano-blitzes. Seldom do I look at any offensive plays, I li...

Very true, thanks for mentioning. How quickly I forget!

Re: The Autumn of 2003

Let's keep this going. Somebody should do a similar topic from a time from, say no earlier than 1988, and no later than 2013. What games were you playing? What was going on in your life? Video games are virtual time machines.

Legacy of Kain (Xbox)

I was at a local gaming store a few weeks ago and wanted something different, so I picked this one up. I like the graphics and sound, but the awkward camera angles make combat more difficult than it should be. And it can be hard to figure out what to do next.

Still, I'm enjoying this one.
