Bases Loaded 3 (NES)

I remember my mother would take me to Blockbuster on a Friday night, then often we would head on over to a TCBY in the same plaza to get a frozen yogurt. We'd go home, watch Full House and Urkel on TGIF, then I'd go and play whichever game we rented. Such were my Friday nights in the early 90s. Many...

Ice Climbers (NES)

I never played this one as a kid, but recently decided to give it a whirl. You know what, it's pretty good once you get used to the wonky jumping control. Which, unfortunately, takes quite a while. But that's the thing, as a kid, I think I was a little more willing to learn and to invest time into a...

Re: 2019/6/7: Genesis: Last Battle, Paperboy II

I thought that the Paperboy 2 on the NES and SNES were atrocious. But then they released the Genesis version about half a year after the SNES, so maybe they had time to iron out the kinks.

Re: In Praise of Short Games

Activision games are short, yet I'll find myself up until the wee hours of the morning playing Pitfall, Call of Duty, or River Raid.

Re: Super Mario Maker

Recently started playing this again, since I'm getting bored of my typical repertoire of games. It really is enjoyable, since it's basically new levels for all the games I played and loved. Some levels are cleverly designed, others, not so much. But I recommend giving this one a whirl again.

Re: Making a Mess (photo)

As I said in another thread, sometimes less is more. We had to declutter to get our townhouse ready for listing, and I'll never go back to having each and every system I own hooked up. From now on I'm only keeping the systems I play the most hooked up while keeping the ones I only play once in a whi...

I would advise not writing that until you've played "Touchdown Fever" on the NES.

Re: Help! Game room ideas?

You know, sometimes less is more. So my wife and I are getting ready to put our townhouse on the market. Which means some major decluttering. I actually put my 360, PS4, Xbox, Master System, Genesis, and Colecovision in storage. That leaves my NES, SNES, PS4, PS3, Wii U, N64, and Switch. And whoa, m...

A couple screenshots. Sorry for the poor picture quality, it was off an old VHS.
