Re: Top five list

5. Dragon’s Lair (arcade). It was Friday morning, June 1983. Walked into a small news stand when I was about 16, and saw this game in the back of the store. Blew me away. The last big huzzah from the arcade companies before arcades of the late 70’s-early 80’s faded away. This game was a Disney carto...

Re: Star Wars Rise of the Skywalker

I just... hated it. I mean... hated it. It was an absurd mess, IMO. I felt that way about this entire trilogy, frankly. It seemed to have no direction after Ep. 7, and even that direction was mauled by the disappointment of a new Empire in a mere 30 trilogy minutes after its defeat in Ep. 6. Ep. 8 ...

Re: 2020/6/20: Atari 7800: Rikki & Vikki

Great review of a game that I’ve never heard of on a system that’s always fascinated me. The pic of the game looks amazing for a 7800 game.

Re: Ray Harryhausen fans?

I used to love watching Jason and the Argonauts on TV as a kid when it would come on. The special effects are pretty mind-blowing for 1963, and the skeleton fight scene is pure awesomeness. Speaking of TV, as a kid we had 4 channels, but once cable came we were up to 26 channels! Yeah you read that ...

Re: Sega Game Gear Micro

This very well could be the 2600 Swordquest of our time. I think it’s the VGC’s civic duty to review at least one of these.

Re: Sega Game Gear Micro

Just measured, a ‘Forever’ postage stamp is 2.25 inches diagonally (this device 1.15 inches diagonal), so this screen is about half the size of a postage stamp. The entire device is 3.15 inches wide, 1.7 inches tall. It’s reminds me of the scene in ‘This is Spinal Tap’ where they build Stonehenge 18...

Re: Sega Game Gear Micro

The screen is 1.15 inches. Fortunately I’m one-quarter Mantis Shrimp so I should be fine but those with human vision will suffer.

Re: 2020/6/2: Playstation 3: Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp, Space Ace

Good reviews and you hit the nail on the head as to why Dragon’s Lair is so much better than Space Ace and Dragon’s Lair 2: the number of moves per screen. With Dragon’s Lair, it’s like 4-7 moves per screen, Space Ace has like 20+ moves, and not only does DL2 have dozens of moves per screen, watchin...

I’ve always liked the Mario 64 soundtrack.

Re: 2020/4/24: Xbox One: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Ya I gave this one a go a few years back. I love RPG's (Skyrim is my favorite!) but I just could not get into this one. Like the VGC mentioned, some of the things you have to do is just such a chore and I hate crafting things as well...feels too much like work. I think a C is generous, I would put ...
