Re: Most polarizing video games and why?

And this is one of the main reasons why I’ve barely posted here. Many of these posts have zip to do with gaming and since we’re talking about guns/gun control let’s just open it up to whatever. This is why I liked mods.

Re: Modern Full Price $60 Video Games with YouTube style ads that are unskippable!

As Matchstick stated, You CAN turn off the YouTube ads. So saying they’re unskippable is not true. If you wanna play the slippery-slope argument, fine. And if this really does get your blood boiling, fine. I can’t wait for the next drummed up controversy that I’M SURE the critic will agree with.

Re: Should Yooka-Laylee have the controversial icon or no?

This is one of the reasons I stopped posting here. So a game comes out, a Youtuber with a minor voice role gets cut for saying some really dumb things, and this is a controversy? Much ado about nothing.

Re: All the best...

I stumbled upon this site in 2005, so been a while for me too. It’s always been slow paced, since posts have to be approved, but it does seem slower than usual. But the content seems fairly consistent. There’s always been a good balance of peaceful gamers, fanboys, s*** stirrers, and the like. What...

All the best...

And another one bites the dust. After coming here for almost 20 years, this site has changed in ways that I’ve decided to move on and stop coming here. Thanks Dave for the site and for the amazing reviews over the years. And I’ll say it for the last time, your 2600 Swordquest reviews are hilarious. ...

Re: Mega Man 11 destroys Mighty No. 9 on Metacritic!

Sonix buddy, you’re doing it again. You’re following the same template as before. Title: (Super long with explanation point at the end) Intro: LINK. “Well, this link just proves what the Critic and Stalvern and Sut all agree on is that developers/programmers/consumers/orangutans need to get from all...

Re: Mega Man 11 destroys Mighty No. 9 on Metacritic!

A little late, and response time. The only reason I brought up Mighty No. 9 was because I was comparing Mega Man 11 to the former as I believe that Mega Man 11 was the original vision of Mighty No. 9 that Keiji Inafune wanted to make involving the original Kickstarter pitch back in 2013. But becaus...

Re: VGC Anti Atari??

I've been told that there are actually threads on Atari Age discussing how I am biased AGAINST Atari systems! Are you guys aware of this? What do YOU think? I've not run across a thread like that. Mostly when I see mention of you there its due to a new review such as this for Super Cobra Arcade and...

Re: The Autumn of 2003

Let's keep this going. Somebody should do a similar topic from a time from, say no earlier than 1988, and no later than 2013. What games were you playing? What was going on in your life? Video games are virtual time machines. Autumn 1996. At the time my wife and I, recently married, moved to Chicag...

Re: Games being shut down

Anyone who didn’t see this one coming, stand on your head. And I’m no lawyer (but I play one on tv) but if it’s stated in the fine print, no matter how sneaky, not sure there’s much that we, the consumer, can do except talk with our wallets. I’d start a grass roots campaign but then I’d miss my stor...
