Re: Sonic Mania Plus (Switch)

Love the music of the halfpipe, love the first 3 stages, then it just gets outrageously difficult. My favorite bonuses are the blue sphere stages from Sonic 3. They had just the right difficulty and were lots of fun. They went overboard on the difficulty of them with the later ones in Sonic Mania. Y...

Your memories of games seem to center on what drug you were doing when you played it

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn > Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Like I say I’ve not played Zelda yet, but meaning no offence this forum is sometimes susceptible to a Nintendo love in. But there are plenty of opposite views that are in line with JWK’s. No offense taken, but I think it’s pretty silly when people say that in general. I do love a lot of Nintendo ga...

Re: 2018/7/12: Nintendo Switch: Mario Tennis Aces

I think a D- is a bit harsh. The game actually has a multiplayer option that’s just tennis, and without all the gimmicks it’s a lot of fun. To unlock it you turn to your friend and say, “let’s play with no gimmicks”

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn > Zelda: Breath of the Wild

I’ve only played a few hours of Horizon Zero Dawn but I feel like that’s already enough for me to disagree. When i played just a couple hours of BOTW I was already hooked. I played BOTW on Wii U when it came out. I beat in in just a couple weeks racking up over 40 hours on it, which is the fastest a...

Re: 2018/7/10: Playstation 4: Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap

My one and only criticism of the game was fighting one particular boss. I kept missing him when trying to hit him. I flipped over to the old style graphics and could see he was smaller in size in the original game. The hit box was using the original graphics but the new graphics were a bit larger. ...

Re: 2018/7/10: Playstation 4: Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap

I believe I was one of the ones who originally pushed you over the edge to review the Master System version, so as a major fan of the original, I have to ask, are the original melodies of the music still perceptible? The critic didn’t make this too clear in his review. Aside from being able to togg...

Re: Anyone still favor "wired" controllers?

I don’t miss wires a bit. I prefer the controllers with the built in batteries though. I have rechargeable AA’s but it’s annoying to have to take them out and put them in the charger with the Xbox One. I find it absurd that they still don’t have built in batteries on their controllers. PS4, Switch a...

Re: Switch Owners, how is your library shaping up?

Still, how hard is it to put all of the games on one cartridge? I guess it's too expensive, or something like that? On the eShop, the download size of the Street Fighter Collection exceeds both the size of Mega Man Legacy 1 & 2 as well as both halves of the Mega Man X collection. So Street Figh...

Re: Switch Owners, how is your library shaping up?

I’m contemplating importing the Japanese physical release of Mega Man legacy X collection 2. It would be $35 though which would make owning both physical copies cost over $70. Seems a bit ridiculous.
