Re: PS2-Activision Anthology

Laser Blast is one of gaming's big missed opportunities. Good concept that's initially fun to play, attractive graphics, and solid audio. And being able to go kamikaze and steer your doomed ufo into the anti-saucer laser that just shot you down was a really nice touch. But why the heck does the dif...

Re: PS2-Activision Anthology

Anyone had issues with patches unlocking on this ?
I’ve met the requirements for Laser Blast a couple of times but nothing unlocked ? Does it have to be on a set variation or something ?

I mean this games dull anyway without playing it over and over.

Re: What happened to Paprium?

Looks like this might finally be landing soon. The developers are having a launch party in France (the lead developers homeland) at the end of the month.
They will have playable games at the event - so hopefully by Xmas ?

A great point you could conceivably have the physical game and disc/cartridge but it still wouldn’t work correctly as it requires additional data from a defunct server.

Let’s be honest most games are very rarely on disc now, the bulk of the data is downloaded despite having the disc. You can include Switch cartridges with that as well.
Things are going digital I’m afraid guys.

Re: Switch storage is a total mess

This was inevitable as soon as they announced cartridges you just knew full well it would have to be supported by download patches.
But I guess Nintendo does day 1 patches right ?

Find this months line rather underwhelming compared to previous months. Don’t seem to be any ‘big hitters’ this month.

Re: I'm SCARTing!

Thankfully after years of suffering with 50hz PAL our TV’s all started coming with RGB Scart as standard in the mid to late 90’s. The difference is night and day especially on a CRT where the picture is gorgeous on older systems. To let you know Herschie these are the systems I have hooked up by Sca...

Re: When aging electronics fail

Only ROM cartridge based system I’ve had issue with is the Game Gear notorious for bad capacitors.
The Atari ST computer is a different story lots of maintenance required. I’ve now given up with disk drives for and use a floppy Emulator with SD card - life is so much easier.
