John's posted the Champ Games - Galaga 2600 topic.

It is about 90% complete with just a few bugs to be fixed and bells & whistles to be added.

We are planning on releasing a playable demo ROM sometime in the near future once a few bugs are fixed.

Re: New 2600 homebrew by Champ Games

I do not. Per John the games about 90% complete. My understanding is he'll be posting something on AtariAge in the near future, possibly a demo ROM. I'll post a reply here when he does. Had you had time to check out Draconian yet? It's my port of Bosconian, complete with speech samples. Link for the...

Re: New 2600 homebrew by Champ Games

use of something called CDFJ. DPC is the coprocessor/bankswitch scheme that made Pitfall 2 possible. Harmony/Melody has a driver that supports DPC so you can play Pitfall 2 on it. Supports 8K games with 2K ROM of Display Data(basically the graphic data). We made a new version of DPC, called DPC+, t...

Re: 2007/12/20: Atari 2600: Medieval Mayhem, Star Fire

Adam Savage's Tested built an arcade game that was introduced at California Extreme last year. They did a seven part series on the build, though it's behind a paywall. They recently posting the first part on YouTube, don't know if they rest will follow or if it's a teaser to get you to subscribe. A...

Re: Lemmings (SNES)

I loved the two-player mode in the original Lemmings, used to play it at Amiga gatherings here in Houston. Screen was split in half and both players used a mouse. Didn't know the Atari ST supported 2 player mode as well, though the 2nd player had to use a joystick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA...

Re: Bosconian clone comming to the Atari 2600!!!

Wow, this guy scored 616,000 points. Haven't seen anybody score higher than that.

It can show 7 digits in-game:

Re: 2019/1/6: Atari 2600: Missile Command, Walker (Europe)

IMG_0750.jpg I <3 that monitor! It came with my Amiga 2000HD back in '91. I have the 2600 and Amiga CD32 hooked up to it via an S-Video switch box. I still have the Amiga, but haven't used it in ages due to hard drive failure. The Amiga's in its box in the bottom of the guest room closet, but its m...

Re: 2019/1/6: Atari 2600: Missile Command, Walker (Europe)

how do you play European games for the Atari 2600? Does it just work if you pop it in, or did you need some workaround? Yep, no region lockout on the 2600 so just pop them in. Colors will be wrong , and whether or not you get a stable image depends entirely upon your TV (adjusting vertical hold may...
