Re: 2007/12/20: Atari 2600: Medieval Mayhem, Star Fire

Adam Savage's Tested built an arcade game that was introduced at California Extreme last year. They did a seven part series on the build, though it's behind a paywall. They recently posting the first part on YouTube, don't know if they rest will follow or if it's a teaser to get you to subscribe. A...

Re: Lemmings (SNES)

I loved the two-player mode in the original Lemmings, used to play it at Amiga gatherings here in Houston. Screen was split in half and both players used a mouse. Didn't know the Atari ST supported 2 player mode as well, though the 2nd player had to use a joystick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA...

Re: Bosconian clone comming to the Atari 2600!!!

Wow, this guy scored 616,000 points. Haven't seen anybody score higher than that.

It can show 7 digits in-game:

and it preserves the 8th digit for display on the menu screen:

Re: Homebrews

ever thought about doing a section for homebrew game reviews? was just looking at some different home brew games recently and thought that lol Homebrew reviews are listed with all other reviews for a given console, such as the review for Stay Frosty 2 . See the beer mug icon just below the grade? C...

Re: 2019/1/6: Atari 2600: Missile Command, Walker (Europe)

IMG_0750.jpg I <3 that monitor! It came with my Amiga 2000HD back in '91. I have the 2600 and Amiga CD32 hooked up to it via an S-Video switch box. I still have the Amiga, but haven't used it in ages due to hard drive failure. The Amiga's in its box in the bottom of the guest room closet, but its m...

Re: 2019/1/6: Atari 2600: Missile Command, Walker (Europe)

how do you play European games for the Atari 2600? Does it just work if you pop it in, or did you need some workaround? Yep, no region lockout on the 2600 so just pop them in. Colors will be wrong , and whether or not you get a stable image depends entirely upon your TV (adjusting vertical hold may...

Re: Records vs. CDs vs. digital music

I started my music collection on 8-track in the mid 70s before switching to cassette tape. Also bought a few albums and 45s during this timeframe, though preferred the portability of tape (especially after I bought my first car in 83). Moved onto CDs in the late 80s. Ripped my CDs in 2003 to AAC 128...

Re: VGC Anti Atari??

I've been told that there are actually threads on Atari Age discussing how I am biased AGAINST Atari systems! Are you guys aware of this? What do YOU think? I've not run across a thread like that. Mostly when I see mention of you there its due to a new review such as this for Super Cobra Arcade and...

Re: Warlords Action

Just realized all the images are gone from when I discovered and documented the "suicide trick". At the time I was creating a disassembly for Warlords as my original plan was to hack it to add multi-ball, but ended up writing Medieval Mayhem from scratch instead. I've created new images an...
