The Stanley Parable

I really don't like walking simulators. I may be a story fanatic, but even I'm not interested in a "game" with no gameplay. That being said, if you're going to make one, make it like The Stanley Parable. No, you're not doing much besides walking and listening, but it has three things that ...

Warhammer 40K books

I've never played the Warhammer 40K tabletop game so I know absolutely nothing about it or the universe, but the books I see at Barnes and Noble look pretty cool. Anyone have some recommendations where to start? I've heard that the Eisenhorn trilogy and the Gaunt's Ghosts series are both good.

Re: Two New Games!

First impressions on Dragon Quest Builders 2: it has potential. I would be having a lot more fun if the game would just let me play it instead of going to cutscene every five seconds to explain something I've already figured out. I know I said I wanted a game that was like Minecraft but with more of...

Re: Time for The Critic to do a set of reviews based on post-apocalyptic scenarios...

Let's knock if off with the political talk please. I've been joining so many video game groups on Facebook in an attempt to flood my stream with video game posts and drown out political crap. Very much this. Politics divide. Video games should bring people together. I hate how politics has to invad...

Two New Games!

Got my tax return, and decided to splurge on a couple new games. The first is Dragon Quest Builders 2, a game I've been interested in ever since I started looking for a Minecraft-ish game with more of a story/questline. On the complete other end of the spectrum, I also got Innocence: a Plague Tale (...

Re: Most frightening movie moments for you

The Muppet Christmas Carol. And no, it wasn't the Ghost of Christmas Future. It was...that freaking door knocker scene. https://media.giphy.com/media/l2YWg3BrGSiNDSzOU/giphy.gif Yeah, I'm the kid who got scared by the Muppets. And speaking of weirdly scary Christmas movies, has anyone scene Rudolph ...

Re: Dreams (PS4)

Yahtzee just posted his Zero Punctuation review of Dreams, and now that the novelty has had time to wear off, I find myself agreeing with almost everything he said. Namely, "It gets so complicated that you have to wonder if it's worth it when there are so many more efficient ways to make a game...

Final Fantasy Vii Remake Demo

Sony released a short demo for their upcoming Final Fantasy Vii remake this morning, and after playing through it I can confidently say that I am...meh about it. The graphics are amazing, but I think that was a given since Final Fantasy games are ALWAYS some of the best looking games. No, the combat...

Re: Dreams (PS4)

I thought it was a PC development software, not a PS4 release... From what I've heard, I think they're planning a PC release if the PS4 sales do well enough. I hope it does. Honestly, this while setup would work infinitely better in mouse and keyboard. Its impressive how well they've managed to mak...

Retro STrife wrote:Sounds interesting at least! Can't you connect a mouse to the PS4 and use that? Sounds like it would be a lot easier than the motion controls.

No, but you can use two Move controllers. I heard that makes it moderately easier, but I don't have any to test it out.
