Re: Favorite Rock Stars (Pre Grunge)

Black sabbath ( though I like them better without ozzy ) I will have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. Dio was a hell of a singer and Dio era Sabbath was great in its own way, but I will always prefer the slow, murky, down tuned "evil" sound of Ozzy's Sabbath to the more melo...

Re: Upcoming Holiday Games?

I don't play games as much as I used to, but I am very much looking forward to Super Mario Party, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will probably take up ungodly hours of my time.

Re: Mario Kart 8 (Switch)

I mean, they did add an actual battle mode this time around, and they brought back the double item boxes from Double Dash, so I would definitely recommend this over the inferior Wii U version.

A Hat In Time Coming To Switch

https://youtu.be/OzQ-6P_R2ZE Really late in posting this, but I am really happy us Switch owners finally get to play this gem of a game. I've been wanting to play this baby for ages. Reviews were great, and I've heard nothing but good things about it. And almost everyone who's played both games will...

Re: THQ Rises from the grave!

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom 2 please. Legitimately one of the best 3D platformers of its generation and one of the greatest licensed video games ever.

Re: Super Mario World vs Donkey Kong Country

Kirby's Dream Land 3  No, in all seriousness, Mario World plays far better. The controls are so tight, it's such an incredible playing game. DKC is solid, but I think without it's fancy graphics people wouldn't think it's great, just an above average platformer. DKC 2 on the other hand, ran wi...

Re: Donkey Kong 64 (N64)

I actually really love this game, despite the bad rap it gets nowadays. The graphics and soundtrack are incredible for an N64 game. The boss fights are fun as hell. The different modes (4 player split screen, replaying boss fights, etc.) are really fun. But what really impresses me the most is the sh...

Re: Super Mario World vs Donkey Kong Country

Hmm... This is a tough one. I think I have to give the slight edge to Super Mario World, although DKC is more challenging and has better music. DKC2 I would put above SMW though. And Yoshi's Island is my favorite 2D platformer ever, so I would rank that above the rest.

Re: Favorite Albums of the 90s

There's a very real reason for the decline that jon has been talking about. 1996 is when American radio was deregulated to essentially allow ClearChannel to take over the airwaves wholesale. The astounding, incestuous degree of homogenization since then in what gets radio play is no accident at all...
