Re: Favorite Grunge Albums

For fans of Nirvana (or just the 90's Seattle music scene in general) I would recommend the book Serve the Servants by Danny Goldberg. It's an easy, quick read and has a lot of interesting detail about Nirvana's creative process and the thought that went into the creation of their albums. Someone o...

Re: Critic, your "favorite" F- game?

Or perhaps a game that's so god awful and among the worst of the worst that you can't help but find it charming.

Re: Game Players June 95 Magazine

Jon for the love of god this is the third time I mentioned Panzer Dragoon Saga, and I know someone else mentioned it. Are you willfully ignoring us at this point? Here, let me make this easier for you. Panzer Dragoon Saga Panzer Dragoon Saga Panzer Dragoon Saga Panzer Dragoon Saga Panzer Dragoon Sag...

Re: Game Players June 95 Magazine

Again, haven't played it, but would Panzer Dragoon Saga count? I mean, it is a 3D RPG.

Also, Shenmue was originally in development for Saturn.

Re: Game Players June 95 Magazine

Correct me if I'm wrong because I haven't played it, but I would imagine Panzer Dragoon Saga and other RPGs on the system to have pretty large environments.

Re: Extreme Metal

https://youtu.be/GfbLWHT7vUU So here's a modern day metal album that I am totally loving. I can definitely understand the hype. While not the first blackgaze album by a longshot, its sunshine soaked melodies and emo/screamo influence make a good case for black metal being gorgeous and beautiful. Its...

For the record, I do think Nevermind is a great album, just not my favorite by then.

Re: Extreme Metal

Has anyone ever listened to Coffins? They're a fantastic Japanese death/doom band. Corrupted is another great Japanese death/doom band. What do you guys think about slam bands like Devourment, Awaiting The Autopsy (with a female singer performing sick gutturals), Abominable Putridity, and Party Cann...

Re: Favorite Grunge Albums

When Nevermind came out, I was in love with it! Played it constantly. I was 16 in '91, so I was the perfect age for it. Now, I can barely listen to it because of how overplayed it's been on the radio, etc over the years. It's too bad really, it is such a good album. I'm gonna sound like a pretentio...
