Re: Captain Marvel

Watched Captain Marvel last night! I'm still doing the DVD-by-mail thing so maybe I'm a little behind the times. LOL I loved the 90's soundtrack and the cat. Samuel Adams had some funny lines. Thoughts? First thought; I didn't realize Samuel Adams was in that movie, but a talking long-dead beer mas...

Re: 2019/7/28: Super Nintendo: Lemmings, Xardion

I feel like we played Lemmings at your place a couple of years back, because I remember specifically the issue of NOT using the mouse and I was sure that would affect your grade. This isn't a re-review? I played Lemmings quite a bit back in the day (and actually, fairly recently as I discovered the ...

Re: Nostalgic and/or Favorite Video Game Mags

Others of the era that bring back great memories include Joystik, Video Games, Electronic Fun with Computers and Games, Compute!, and a somewhat local magazine, Vidiot (from the publishers of Creem). I was going to mention Electronic Fun with Computers and Games - beat me to it! Also, Computer Gami...

Re: 2019/7/21: Xbox One: Forza Horizon 4

This almost sounds like a hybrid/mish-mash of Forza and Burnout - are those two series from the same developers?

Paul, I tried to PM you about something but it doesn't appear to be working... the message is just sitting in my 'outbox'. If you get a chance, see if you can PM me!

Re: Looking for a middle person based in the U.S

I'd actually be happy to help you out if I were in the mainland, I live in Hawaii and I know all too well the "prejudice" we face being so far away for shipping purposes. LOTS of times I want to purchase something off Amazon (never mind Ebay) only to find that they won't ship said item(s) ...

Timber - Midway - 1984

A while ago I took an old Xbox and replaced the hard drive with one that I could load CoinOps 7 Massive, an all-in-one emulator/game package of old skool stuff. From time to time I have it select a random game for me and give it a try. Today it selected "Timber", which apparently is some k...

Crush, Crumble, and Chomp review - long version

As I tend to be a bit more verbose in my reviews than works for the Critic's general style, I tend to start out doing a longer version of a review than ends up being put in the official review section. Here is the long version of the same review, in case anyone cares: " When summertime rolls ar...

Re: 2019/7/16: Commodore 64: Crush, Crumble, and Chomp!

It looks well worth a play, if I can source it from somewhere. How come it's got a 1981 release date on a system that launched in '82? Or am I being picky? Not picky at all - the game was originally released in 1981, on the TRS-80, Apple II, VIC-20, and Atari 8-bit systems. The C64 port was indeed ...
