Re: Jumpstart Computer Games?

When I was a kid, we did The Oregon Trail, on a Commodore PET computer. This was back around 1980-1981 timeframe. I remember being quite enamored by it.

Re: The Autumn of 2003

Autumn of 2003... being that my daughter was born in September of 2003, pretty much all my time was being devoted to her, my wife, and work. Sleep and the above responsibilities is pretty all I did during that time (and sleep was hard to come by with a newborn).

Re: Telltale games shuts down

It appears Telltale Games has a class action lawsuit on them now, for the way they let their workers go, and not following the federally-mandated WARN Act, which requires employers to give 60 day notice on layoffs, or other preemptive mass terminations. If there lawsuit succeeds, Telltale will be re...

Re: Games being shut down

Try GOG. You download the game, no DRM, and can use to your hearts content. That being said, on console gaming, digital only is something I avoid, unless its like gentlegamer mentioned, pennies on the dollar (which sometimes Microsoft runs on their Xbox sales). Great minds think alike! ;) Indeed! :D

Re: Sony Playstation Classic, $99 US, 12/3

One trend I find alarming is how these "classic" consoles are becoming more and more expensive. I'm wondering how long it will be before we get a full-featured model packed with games for the same price as a modern console? I also really dislike how they are 1) almost certainly emulator, ...

Re: NES Classic Edition Review

I enjoyed the review as well, and look forward to your SNES Mini review. Interestingly, its pretty easy to find these second gen NES mini's in stores now. Last week when I was at Walmart, they must have had at least 10 of each NES & SNES systems in stock.

Re: VGC Anti Atari??

Hmm...so just as an example, I took a peek at your Wii U reviews. About 75 percent of them are C- and above. So are you planing on going back and docking the grades of everything above it to establish an equilibrium of grades? That's not an ideal example since he hasn't reviewed the complete Wii U ...

Re: Atari Loot Box at Target

I guess for an die hard fan, this might be okay. Expensive for what you are getting though, but I think these publishers know that it has some kind of intrinsic "collectible" value, so they run you over the coals on price for what is basically junk (IMHO). I will watch for it to go on clea...

Re: Complex and hard to learn... good?

I do not have much time to play video games with the many responsibilities in my life (children, wife, job, bills, other hobbies, etc), so when I do sit down to play, I do not want to have to rack my brain on how to even get the damned thing started. I just want to play the game. Enjoy the hour I ha...
