Re: 2020/2/1: NES: Magic Johnson's Fast Break, Rollergames

Nice - glad you got around to trying Rollergames! I think your review is totally spot-on and I agree with the score. I also agree that the insta-death pits is the biggest flaw with the game. Easily a B or higher if the developers didn't make that huge mistake.. it really kills the flow and the fun....

Re: 2019/11/26: Philips CD-i: Arcade Classics

Hey, a new CD-i review! Thanks Critic. I've never played this one, and arcade compilations aren't really my thing, so I must have overlooked this game. Always fun to read a new CD-i review, though. If you ever need some recommendations, just let me know. Nice review, but are you sure high scores ar...

I'm surprised this one didn't get an A+ based on the review.

Re: 2019/10/9: Playstation: Lucky Luke, Looney Tunes Racing

Lucky Luke is a popular comic and cartoon series in Europe, but I had never heard of it in the U.S. until I came across the CD-i game a few years ago. (I think the CD-i game was a European exclusive though.) But, interesting to see that there was a PS1 game in the U.S. too. Looking at Wikipedia, it...

Re: 2019/10/2: Super Nintendo: Power Instinct, Frogger

I don't understand why Frogger lacks music unless it was released in an unfinished state. Quick cash grab. Could be considering it was a late 1998 release around the time period SNES was about to retire and considering this game was produced very cheap and with minimal effort no surprise there. I w...

Re: Favorite AVGN episodes/moments and why?

I LOVE the Atari sports episode and especially the part where he's going on about Atari 2600 Football. I love it because it's freaking hilarious. AVGN at his best is genuinely funny.

Newer episodes have their moments, but I keep going back to the older ones.

Re: Games the VGC Didn't Review (Yet), for Systems Nearing Completion

NES: Bad Dudes - Mediocre action game that reminds me of Vigilante with enemies coming at you from both sides and each taking only one or two hits to defeat except for bosses. Unfortunately the framerate is poor and the hitboxes are questionable. Karnov is the stage one boss! Also features hilarious...

Re: About the Astrocade...

Astrocade was definitely superior its rivals in the late 70s. It doesn't look as powerful as the Colecovision.

I'd like to try Incredible Wizard.

Re: 2019/9/7: Turbografx-16: New Adventure Island, Camp California (CD)

Speaking of Adventure Island, you criticize the NES game for using B to run and toss your weapon, and A to jump. This complaint doesn't make much sense. It's the same controls as Mario and any other configuration would be worse. I assume that New Adventure Island controls the same way as well.
