Sony Playstation Classic, $99 US, 12/3

https://kotaku.com/sony-just-announced-the-99-playstation-classic-console-1829159574 Twenty games, though only 5 have been confirmed: Final Fantasy VII Jumping Flash Ridge Racer Type 4 Tekken 3 Wild Arms I have mixed thoughts. On the one hand, I like the idea of mini consoles in general. They’re sma...

Re: Heavy metal!

I’m not a metal fan at all, but where do you put Metallica’s early albums in your pantheon of metal albums? I used to be a bigger fan of them in high school and always liked Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets, but I never listened to too many other metal albums.

Re: A Hat In Time Coming To Switch

I just recently read some good things about this game, so I’ll probably end up getting it at some point, more than likely once it goes on sale. In my mind it ended up getting lumped in with Yooka Laylee and Super Lucky’s Tale as non-Nintendo platformers that were mediocre, but I guess I was wrong. A...

Re: Dragon Quest XI

I agree with all of your points. I'm not sure where you are at but I recently recruited the 4th party member, Sylvando. What an awesome character. I love how he adds humor and levity right when you need it, and how he combines strength of character with quirkiness and whimsy. The overworld music is...

What does a 23 year old Game Boy game have anything to do with this game?

Re: Dragon Quest XI

I’ve played quite a bit over the past couple days (I’d prefer not to say how much) and I have a couple more thoughts... Not to be completely cliche, but it’s Dragon Quest. The story is very simple so far, but it’s enough to keep me interested. The series has always been good at having a basic overar...

Re: Dragon Quest XI

I love this series. It feels so great to have a mainline Dragon Quest back on home consoles, at least in the US. Agree with you on the music - was there some type of licensing issue where they couldn’t use the orchestral tracks? I’m glad they didn’t voice the main protagonist. Like the Persona serie...

Re: Video Game Culture in the NHL

I feel like there’s a persecution complex with some people who enjoy gaming. Like gamers are so desperate to point out “see look, athletes play games too!” It’s pretty common I feel with everyone, 40 years and younger especially, because those are the people who grew up with gaming. Look how many pe...

Re: Big Bang Theory Ending

Seriously, get past that the show is making fun of nerds (which is what I took it for initially as I am one). Instead it's more about the relationships between people. I can’t speak for anyone else, but that has nothing to do with my disdain for the show. I saw the couple episodes about five years ...

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Urges Developers To Embrace Subscription Services

I think that artice is a little misleading. He actually said more stuff. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.usgamer.net/amp/shigeru-miyamoto-has-a-warning-for-the-games-industry He plainly states that Nintendo is going to continue with fixed cost pricing. His subscription quote was about developers wo...
