Apparently, the best way to succeed on Kickstarter is to make impossible promises, and then see who you can get away with disappointing?

My new Switch came with a free fidget toy.

Nintendo's a little late to that fad, but... The build is amazing. My left Joycon looks just like a real one. Every button has a satisfying feel when I press down, especially the trigger in the back, and the analog stick can be spun around and battered about. It's worth playing with for half a minut...

Re: When aging electronics fail

Isn't a little early to panic? After all, we're perfectly okay with an NES that flickers on and off just years after purchase, and Saturns that don't save, and PS1s that need to be set on their side. Red ring of death? It's just the first step in their cycle of rebirth. But then a trusted childhood ...

Eh. This is the same Sony that needed Marvel to save their Spiderman movies. Never underestimate their ability to screw up a sure thing. I mean, you'd never know the PSP was more successful than the NES, the SNES, and the N64, unless you tortured it out of them. They'll happily talk about the Vita's...

Re: PC games that never got a proper console port?

edi Knight 2 isn't the same without a mod that allows your lightsaber to actually cut limbs off. There's also the 'System Shock' series, the original 'Deus Ex', 'Planescape:Torment', plus 'I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream'. The era was just a bundle of joy and optimism. Beyond that, Kotaku's reade...

Re: 2018/9/18: Lynx: Dracula: The Undead

It really seems like this genre isn't for you. You also go after Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion for their dream logic approach to problem solving, and the fact that you have to think like a mad scientist to beat them, using the game world as your lab... You only see the frustrating part where you'...

What made Medal of Honor: underground a poor sequel? So many things. But check this out. https://s.uvlist.net/l/y2005/1/6984.jpg Here's Medal of Honor Underground on the 32 bit, 16.8mhz GBA.
