Re: 2020/3/25: Turbografx-16: Battle Royale, Tricky Kick

Battle Royale has exactly one good idea in the manager scramble. The rest was acceptable in the 80's (if it was your only option), but it was always just a boy among men.

Even the Intellivision wrestling game would squash it.

I'm excited to watch the new lighting engines - this may be the generation where we finally achieve the dream of real time cinematic results. Real time raycasting? That seemed impossible only a decade ago. Especially since, if we're realistic, simulating light bounces uses a lot of resources; how ma...

Re: Your Favorite Multi-Genre video games?

PixelatedGenocide - what are those screenshots you posted?? Those games look awesome. They're all from the same game. 198x. It's like an audio drama (I think an hour or two, depending on how well you do?), but instead of just listening to someone's story, you're allowed to play the games they remem...

Re: Secret of Mana (SNES)

Update: Once you have sword technique level 2, and the armor from the dwarf village, the werewolves are fairly easy to massacre. They appear to stop healing each other once you've dealt enough damage. To get to the dwarf village, attack the 2 skulls on the walls in Gia's Navel. I'm currently overpow...

Re: Secret of Mana (SNES)

DO IT Pixelated! Let's make this a group exercise. Sure. If not now, then when? Anyways, you can find the herbs right away, in your home town. They're available for purchase before and after the cutscene where the villagers order your banishment, but probably not after you leave. You can buy them i...

What's your favorite game in your least favorite genre?

Let's be honest, most rhythm games lose all the best parts of dancing or really playing an instrument, while also offering Orwellian levels of personal creative expression. https://www.mobygames.com/images/shots/l/280250-um-jammer-lammy-playstation-screenshot-lammy-slips-on-a-banana.jpg Yes.
