Re: 3DS on the way out? Recommendations?

Is it okay if I break these up into smaller posts? I'm still learning about the 3ds library. Anyways: Ocarina of Time. This is now considered the definitive version, thanks to streamlined item swapping, a smoother frame rate, and the overall presentation. There's been a passionate backlash against i...

Someone should just mod the Sims to have stealth elements. Hide your ET/Bumblebee/Mac/Cenobite cube, while bonding with your new alien friends!

Because that's the core appeal of ET. Games that treat him or her like a traditional main character, completely miss the point.

Re: 3DS on the way out? Recommendations?

According to Kirby's dedicated fans on Youtube, Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot, with their dueling themes of nature and machine, might be the best in the series. But these are people who care about the series lore, and run detailed breakdowns of the power-ups. They're surely a bit mad. I'd also re...

The last sentence was one of the strongest I've seen in a videogame review.

Re: Gremlins 2 Review (NES), Criticism requested

1. Paragraph breaks. 2. Your lead sentence is redundant, and is going to look absurd if you intend to tackle the top 100 games for the NES. Other licensed titles are going to appear in it, if its any good at all. 3. You introduce us to the tomatoes twice. 4. You have no idea how to breakdown the gra...

Re: 2019/1/16: Atari 7800: Desert Falcon, Basketbrawl

Good reviews, though I prefer Desert Falcon. Since the gameplay is just variations on a single stage, it's perfect for when you only have a few minutes to spare. You can always shut it off without feeling any regrets about what you've missed. And the power-up system adds some quick exploration, if y...

Rare an easy cheap shot in a review makes me laugh, but the Saturn boxes? That was a three point slam dunk. Well done.

Re: Sanford and Son (Odyssey 2)

That was one of the best videogame reviews ever written, even if there's no game to accompany it. But it drove me mad - how would they render the junk/antiques with Odyssey 2 graphics? The idea that someone in 1981 would even try to make an Odyssey collect-a-thon was so exciting, that my mind simply...

Re: Ghostbusters (Sega Master System)

This review almost makes me want to check out the Master System version, just to see how much better than the 2600 version it is. Also, to kill the song from the 2600 version, which won't stop playing in my head now that you've reminded me about what it's actually like to play any version of this ga...

Re: Shocking Content?

I searched for Turbografx reviews through DuckDuckGo's browser, which doesn't track your searches, and this site was still the top result. My guess is that they just don't want M rated content being seen by families unless they're actively seeking it out. It's similar to the way Google's image searc...
