Re: Great Moments in Video Game History

Pixelated - I never thought of Defender as a Superman game, but you're exactly right! Someone should completely redo the graphics and give it a Metropolis theme, with Superman flying around saving falling humans. Oh except he can't shoot. Why not? Just claim it's Brainiac's robot minions reprogramm...

Re: What was the challenge you just couldn't beat, no matter how hard you tried?

In Ghouls and Ghosts (Genesis) I could never get past the stone heads with the tongues you needed to jump between. Must have tried 100 times. Capcom did themselves no favours with the brutal difficult of these games. This is one of my favorite games of all time. Now I'm really glad I asked this que...

Re: Great Moments in Video Game History

1962: Space War is the first videogame that isn't a simulation of something already existing. It's also the first multi-platform hit. 1976: The first videogame controversy, as you can run over helpless stick figures and create tiny little crosses. Anyone who didn't at least smile while playing Death...

Re: 2020/1/21: Game Boy: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back From

Never would have imagined the second game getting the highest score. The sprites are big, and filled with charm, but you really pay the price for that size. Even the action figures are more flexible. To me, Fall just has more personality, even with the zombie turtles. Still, agreed on the third bein...

Just curious where the many game overs in our game libraries are located.

Also, feel free to include any ridiculous challenge you eventually did beat much later, if there's a good story attached.

Re: New Game Boy Review Trio

The worst part of getting old is discovering brand new things I'd already read before. How can I remember all your reviews of old arcade ports on the Gameboy, and completely forget Empire Strikes Back and Super Mario Land? Although, I wish I could forget Empire again. Next guesses: Solar Strik...

Go in release order, so we can watch you slowly lose your mind.

These weren't the worst games ever made, but you'll be amazed at the many surprising similarities. Plus a unique twist or two.

Re: New Game Boy Review Trio

Are they DMG games,or should we be looking at the Gameboy platform as a whole?

Original or port?

Re: Unpopular Gaming Opinions

I think the original 'Strider' on the Sega Genesis is horrible and I do not understand the praise. It's choppy, has tons of slow-downs, average music, average animation, sloppy controls, bad hit detection, annoying floaty jumps and uninteresting level design. Why does everyone seems to love this ga...
