Re: Wii games with “NES controls”

A safe bet would be Kirby's Epic Yarn. My niece and nephew really liked that one.

Punch-Out!! can be played with the same control scheme as the old NES game.

And while it's not ideal, Smash Bros. can be played with NES style controls. Every kid I know has preferred to play this way.

Re: Madden Tournament Shooting

What bothers me is this guy had a long history of mental illness - including the need for anti-psychotic drugs and he had to be sent to a special place in Utah. And yet he was legally able to purchase multiple weapons? Another problem - in addition to the argument Voor made - is that by not allowin...

Re: Nes Popeye Wrong Character Name

From Wikipedia: "After the theatrical Popeye cartoon series ceased production in 1957, Bluto's name was changed to Brutus because it was incorrectly believed that Paramount Pictures, distributors of the Fleischer Studios (later Famous Studios) cartoons, owned the rights to the name "Bluto&...

Found the Scramble thread on Atari Age (scroll down to the bottom of the first post for the ROM).

By the way, I'm just finding out that there is an Atari 2600 version of Scramble! Sure would be nice if Atari Age could send me a review copy.

If I'm not mistaken, I think I have Scramble on my Harmony cart, so the ROM might be available on the Atari Age forums.

Re: The Pinball Arcade (coming early 2012)

I have seasons 1 and 2 on disc, and I bought season 5 a few months ago when it was 50% off. I own seasons 1 & 2 on disc, but like my previous post says, I don't actually own a PS4. So i wondered if you've had any difficulty with season 2 integrating with the rest of Pinball Arcade? It's a Europ...

Re: The Pinball Arcade (coming early 2012)

Wasn't cheap, but thanks to a 20% off coupon, I just bought the season passes for seasons 3-7 for the PS4 to finish off the series. I was curious how you got 20% off so I googled PlayStation store 20% coupon, and I think I figured out how you did it and it looks like it expired less than a day ago....

Re: Thunder Storms!

I love the thunderstorms that pop up while out in the middle of the ocean in Wind Waker. Then of course there is Breath of the Wild, perhaps the king of games with thunder and lightning.

Re: Raspberry Pi emulation love

The Raspberry Pi is pretty great. I have mine hooked to a 4:3 Dell monitor that I can easily rotate vertically to play games like Donkey Kong and Pac-man. I've been thinking a lot lately about attempting to build a tabletop arcade cabinet using a Pi. The only problem is, with having a 5 month old in...

Re: Super Retrocade Review

Dave, Have you tried loading any ROMs onto an SD card and popping it in the back? From what I understand, this will work as long as you put the ROMa in a folder titled "retrobit games". I decided to pass on this since I ended up getting my Retropie setup up and running again. Also, it app...
