Re: Lord of the Rings Extended vs Theatrical?

I pretty much always prefer the theatrical version of a movie over an extended version. I don't really see much point in adding deleted scenes. Isn't there a reason those scenes were cut in the first place? Plus, I usually prefer movies to be under 2 hours and extended versions usually run well over...

Re: Capcom Home Arcade

I saw this too, and wasn't the suicide batteries in reference to the original Aliens Vs. Predator coin-op?

This thing is ridiculous, but if it was less expensive and if I had the space for it, I would probably be all over it.

Re: Dreamcast Light Gun Issues

I have a late-model Toshiba CRT, and I'm almost positive that I have had troubles trying to play light gun games on it. It has a flat screen on it so I wonder if that has something to do with it. But then again I used to have a Sony flat-screen CRT that played light gun games just fine so who knows.

Re: Physical Release Thread

Celeste BestBuy Switch pre-orders open with no date: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/celeste-nintendo-switch/6352177.p?skuId=6352177 From what I understand Celeste is close to selling out even before the end of the pre-order period, so it would probably be a good idea to order it soon if anyone wants ...

Dave, since you liked Star Wars Pinball so much, you might want to check out the collection of Marvel Pinball tables, also made by Zen Studios, which came out for PS4 / XB1:

Re: All the way through?

Oh, and the last game that I beat was Owlboy on the Switch. Hey snake boy how was Owlboy? I have had my eye on this game for a while but haven't pulled the trigger. I liked it quite a bit. I would say it's a great game to play if you just got done playing a game that consumed a ton of your time. It...

Re: All the way through?

It is amazing that this thread started 10 years ago!!! Holy cow, that IS pretty amazing. I just went back and looked at the first page and saw I commented on beating Metroid Zero Mission and Silent Hill 2. That seems like a lifetime ago. Bonus Challenge: Somebody go back and count all the games Ozz...

Re: 3D Streets of Rage 2 (3DS eshop)

It's a shame they don't compile all these onto a single 3DS cartridge. I'd definitely buy that. Well, at least we got one volume with several of the games I listed above, including a few additions like Power Drift. But unfortunately we only got one release while Japan got a few volumes including on...

3D Streets of Rage 2 (3DS eshop)

A lot of those classic Sega 3D games are on sale for $2.99 each on the 3DS eshop so I decided to buy a few. I started with Streets of Rage 2 because I liked the idea of the so-called "casual mode" where you dispose of enemies simply by knocking them to the ground. It might sound like it wo...
