Re: RIP Ouya and the downside of digital only consoles.

It's really sad that piracy might be the only way to preserve these games...

Re: RIP Ouya and the downside of digital only consoles.

I don't play my Ouya much, but we should never lose access to what we paid for. Companies should be forced to remove all drm if they are going to stop supporting a console and no longer offer downloads, updates, etc. That way, users can still access and back up their games. And, they can't really co...

Re: River Raid (Intellivision)

While nothing can dethrone the 2600 original, it's a nice and unique variant. Do you like the 2600 version more than the Atari computer version? I always thought that the tanks, balloons, and better defined canyon made it the best version, although some like the Colecovision graphics better. I like...

Re: Asteroids and Centipede $75

I have an old Quasicade pro arcade that has a giant high def crt in it. In my small house, it takes up way too much room. I got it on sale, but still paid over 1000 for it at the time. It was unique because it was made for consoles. It even has two small metal analogue sticks for each player. The pr...

Re: River Raid (Intellivision)

It is a really cool version. I usually play the Atari computer version, but I wish I had the Intellivision version as well.

Asteroids and Centipede $75

Picked up two Arcade1up cabinets at Walmart for $75 each. I wouldn't have paid $300, but definitely worth what I paid! The Centipede machine is much nicer than I thought it would be. The Asteroids one is just ok, but the art is beautiful. I did a slight mod to the dial (not really a spinner) using 4...

Re: Favorite console gen graphic leaps.

I think PS1/Saturn/N64 to Dreamcast was the biggest leap. 3-D graphics were awful back in the 32/64 bit era and do not hold up!

Re: Best Sports Video Games of All Time!

Questions for the Critic: Would you recommend Madden '95 over Madden '97? Madden '95 got an A- and Madden '97 got an A. I was thinking of picking one or the other up, even though I don't like the Madden series as much as the Tecmo Bowl games. I was curious why '97 scored higher, but you still chose ...

I would like to see these added to the honorable mentions: Baseball: Bad News Baseball (Nes), RBI Baseball (PC Engine), Ken Griffey Jr. presents Major League Baseball (Snes) Football: NFL Blitz (Playstation) Hockey: Ice Hockey (Nes) Volleyball: Super Spike V'Ball (nes) Other: Super Dodgeball (Nes), ...
