What happened to the 10 essential Atari 2600 games thread?

Just curious. Was it deleted due to "been there, done that already"? I know it has been done before and can be revisited by simply doing a search in the archives on this site. I actually put several minutes of effort in my response as I haven't touched my 2600 in over a year. ...

Valentine's Day or St. Patrick's Day Games?

Intellivision's Beauty and the Beast would belong in a V-Day's special. For any dude that is willing to climb a 100 -story building to get his girl back......it must be love.

2015/1/15: Atari 2600: Glacier Patrol, Byte Before Christmas, The, Stay Frosty 2

I had to actually look at my 2600 to see what "TV TYPE" was (Color / B & W). How easily one can forget!

Thank you for this - I think I will be visiting the AA store soon.

2015/1/15: Atari 2600: Glacier Patrol, Byte Before Christmas, The, Stay Frosty 2

I have a question about Stay Frosty 2 - are you able to pause the game? Or when you advance to the next level is there a break in the action until you engage movement (like H.E.R.O)?

Whether it be to answer the phone, take the laundry out of the dryer or just Mother Nature doin...

Return of the Typo Thread!

Wait - one more! :-)

Your Lock N Chase review for Intellivision states that there are three policemen chasing you. I wish......it would make it a bit easier. There are four.

How often do you play retro games?

I ONLY play retro game systems (Genesis is the "newest" system I own). Have the Intellivision hooked up now for the upcoming winter months and am seriously loving Super Chef Burgertime. What an amazing and perfect update of the classic BT. I also got an ECS recently and have been p...

Return of the Typo Thread!

The first sentence of Intellivision's Super Pro Football review is incomplete. I am sure the VGC meant to use "was good" or "was great" there.....

And damn, playing a full game of Super Pro takes two hours!

As I finally took the plunge and acquired an ECS and ...

2014/9/4: Atari 2600: Asteroids, Asterix (Europe), Taz

I appreciate the Taz re-review and was glad to see the improvement of the grade. In my opinion it is a first cousin to Kaboom! in regards to the "don't blink" frantic style of play. It's a good one.

Kudos for the Asteroids update as well. You nailed it perfectly and...
