Most Unreliable Console?

I have bought two Intellivision I's from Ebay in the past few years. Both had poorly-working controllers that basically rendered the unit useless. I mainly wanted one for my collection to be able play the games that will not work on the Intellivision II: Coleco games Donkey Kong, V...

11/4/2006: Atari XEGS: Ballblazer, Hardball, Mario Bros.

I'll never understand how anyone can love BALLBLAZER. Sure it had Fractal Graphics and amzing 3-D and all, but strip it down to the essential GAMEPLAY- It's just 3-D PONG! Boooring!
It's not fair to compare Ballblazer to ...

These Message Boards

I agree too as the VGC is still my favorite place on the net. I check in at least two times a day (kind of like brushing my teeth....and sometimes even a third time after lunch!)

Sometimes I do wish one of you old-timers would let me know such things like IT'S THE PRINCESS flip...

Colecovision Dragonfire

In the intro screen is the Archer in the left castle tower flipping me the bird with both hands and muttering something close to the same message? Very cool!

Super Chef Burger Time (Intellivision)

It might be somewhat cruel & unkind to read your upcoming review on this one. The game is sold out and I've never seen it on EBay (and would be afraid of what it would go for).

Sadly I missed the boat on it when it came out. It looks like an amazing improvement o...

Colecovision: Q*Bert vs. Q*Bert's Cubes....

I am dedicating the Summer of 2014 to getting to know my Colecovision better!!

That said....can somebody help me with pointing out the fun in Q*Bert's Cubes????

Compared to the original Q*Bert this game's objective is rough, tough and simply very little fun. And a painful...

2014/4/27: Atari XEGS: Micro League Baseball, Star League Baseball

While I have spent countless hours playing Star League Baseball on the Commodore 64 your review for the XEGS describes it almost identically. One thing I think is worth mentioning (and adds a strategic element) is how your pitcher's "heat" is limited. Throw too many fastballs too soon an...

What games are you trying to collect?

While not too long ago I was on an insane quest for to get an Atari 5200 Bounty Bob Strikes Back (I lost an E-Bay auction even though I bid $400.00) I have since settled down. I got a C-64 disk copy and it has satisfied my hunger. In hindsight, I am relieved that my fever had s...

The King of [insert game here]

I enjoyed your Star Wars tale scotland17 -just WHY didn't Empire put up a wall instead of beams? The sit-down version of this game was a great gaming experience and always worth many quarters. Unlike you, I had no Jedi in my bloodlines and was pretty useless to the Rebellion.

...

Intellivision II paper weight.

I bought an Intellivision ECS computer and keyboard a few months back that didn't come with the required power supply. It turns out that you can actually use the NES power supply to perfection.

While of no help for your Inty II problem I thought I'd mention this.
