Re: No Man's Sky

The reviews have been overwhelmingly negative on this one. I might try it once it hits the bargain bin.

Re: 2016/8/28: Genesis: Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf, Twinkle Tale (Japan), Jack Nicklaus Power Challenge Golf

Thank you critic I have long been anticipating your review on Twinkle Tale. I'm glad you liked it! I love repro carts for games that were never released in NA. Especially for games like Twinkle Tale that have also been translated. The Critic has reviewed two games recently that I have recommended (T...

Re: Games everyone loves, but you don't see them as great.

For a slightly different take on this topic, how about the game that you feel like you should love, but have never really been able to get into? That's interesting, quite a few games fall into this category for me... Ristar, Dynamite Headdy, Decap Attack, Vectorman, Gunstar Heroes... all excellent ...

Re: VGA to HDMI for Dreamcast

I have a converter box to play original Xbox and gamecube via VGA and it works great. Wonder how it would work hooking that up to the HDMI converter.

Re: Why does emulation garner so much hate?

I love emulation. I use it as kind of a shopping catalog to try a game before I buy a physical copy. It kind of took the place in my heart of renting a game to try it before buying when I was a kid. Kind of funny a lot of these old games are worth as much today as they did at release (sometimes more)!

Re: Video Games as Advertisements

If you like fast food licensed games I have one you might like. McDonald's actually had two games licensed for the Sega Genesis. One was the aforementioned Mick & Mack Global Gladiators and the other was a pretty good game called McDonald's Treasureland Adventure. It was actually the first game ...

Re: A big disadvantage of digital only games!

This type of issue has been happening for years. Lets all hop in our way back machine to the year 2002. That year Morrowind came out for the Xbox and it was so spectacular and popular they released two expansions Bloodmoon and Tribunal for extra money! Now lets fast forward to the year 2003 and what...

Re: Do you prefer playing newer or older games?

I own PS4, Xbone and WiiU. I literally only play them when my 15 year old godson comes over to visit. My brother called me last week to play a game with him online for the PS4. I hooked up my PS4 and quickly realized I didn't have a controller for it. I then remembered my godson asked to borrow it 2...

Re: Other critics and modern games

Someone brought up similarities between loading times on the Sega CD and the install times of modern games. This is a pretty good point but there is something I would like to point out as I was an early adopter of Sega CD. I scoured reviews looking for games that were most recommended. It's true mos...

Re: What happened to 2d

Mighty number 9 is looking like it will be really good. 2d Run N Gun in the same vein as Mega Man. It's been delayed to hell and back but it's coming out soon and looks great.
