Intimidated/overwhelmed by modern games

Yeah, a lot of modern games (especially those on PS and Xbox consoles) tend to have a massive scope and I can get pretty intimidated by many of the games. I find that if I don't think about it, the feeling quickly dissipates, but I still get that way, especially if I've been putting a lot more time ...

2015/3/27: Playstation 2: Micro Machines, Time Crisis: Crisis Zone, Micro Machines V4

[QUOTE=videogamecritic][QUOTE=Rev]I had never played any of the micro machine games until about six months ago and since then I've picked up the NES, Genesis, and N64 titles. Those games are excellent and have a really strong "one more race" feeling. I ended up playing the Genesis version for severa...

Looking back on the 7th Generation: PS3 vs. XBox 360 vs. Wii

I think the Wii was probably my favorite console from the last generation. I don't think people give the game selection on the Wii enough credit. There are dozens of solid titles for the Wii and most are affordable. The Wii also has a decent 3rd party selection of titles. Yes, there is a bunch of sh...

I had never played any of the micro machine games until about six months ago and since then I've picked up the NES, Genesis, and N64 titles. Those games are excellent and have a really strong "one more race" feeling. I ended up playing the Genesis version for several hours straight and I really enjo...

Rate the site!

presentation- B+

I've never found the website mind blowing, especially compared to other sites. The whole design is very simple. Still, I think the simple approach works really well with your site and the website loads very fast and I never have a...

The Gamecube is the most underrated console ever!

I think the gamecube is a great console but it is definitely getting more expensive to collect for. I remember when places like Gamestop were literally giving away copies of Wind Waker, Luigi's Mansion, and Metroid Prime, and now they are all inching up in price (especially WW). Still, I great conso...

Guilty Party (Wii)

I somehow was recommended this game from a source (I thought it was this site but when I checked the review section it was absent, so I guess not) and I picked it up from a game store a while ago. I was digging through my games with a friend today and I suggested we try this game, not really knowing...

2015/3/21: NES: Balloon Fight, Al Unser Jr. Turbo Racing, Batman

I agree with the review for Balloon Fight as I find it a really fun, pick up and play, kind of game on the NES. It has a very simply approach but can be really addicting. I love games like this. As far as Batman, I think I would have been fine with a B- or B review but I can't see the game being a C...

Zelda: Ocarina of Time (3DS)

Yeah... I loved the game on the 3DS but the backtracking was kind of annoying (until you get your teleport spells). I found myself rolling through Hyrule to get to my destination as fast as possible. I couldn't do the backwards hop thing without running into walls so that was my fastest option.
