This. The Genesis handled electronic dance music perfectly, especially the synthpop and techno that were huge in the late 80s and early 90s respectfully.

Favorite Lyricists?

With favorite bassists, guitarists, drummers covered, only appropriate that we cover our favorite lyricists (can include hip hop if you want, but my favorite hip hop lyricists will be excluded here as this covers non hip hop). Brandon Boyd (Incubus) : Heavy on creative metaphors. Chino Moreno (Defto...

Re: Mario vs Donkey Kong Country

For me, the DKC games are much more interesting than the 2D Mario games. Those games are great, but DKC's level design is more fascinating, with exotic scenery and focus on remembering enemy/obstacle patterns, as well as plenty of cleverly hidden secrets. There was also a greater deal of music and s...

Favorite Jungle Levels?

It's hot, stinky and bug infested, so what better way to celebrate than to list the best jungle levels from video games? I don't think this has been done before so I'll do the honors. Paper Mario: Chapter 5: Right off the bat you have to cure a whale's stomach ache to travel to an island, save a bun...

Re: Best N64 Games that the VGC Hasn't Reviewed?

I second Pokemon Snap. Short, but really fun and simple. You don't even need to like Pokemon to enjoy it.

Someone from the RPG crew should review Paper Mario, as it is a glaring omission from the site.

Finally, Kirby 64 because of the power combo system being a lot of fun to test out. Good game.

Re: Is the best game you've ever played your favorite game?

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the best game I've ever played. The scope of the game is sensational, and each and every level feels fresh and a lot of fun to play. I bought it the day it came out, and it's the kind of game you're consistently excited for no matter how much you play it. Portal 2 is another ...

Re: 2017/5/31: Genesis: Desert Demolition, Bugs Bunny in Double Trouble

FIVE F- REVIEWS for the Sega Genesis (Bugs Bunny Double Trouble, Bubsy 2, Heavy Nova, Fighting Masters, and Batman Forever). So bizarre.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Sega Genesis)

This was the game that cemented the blue hedgehog's status as a legitimate video game sensation. The first Sonic game was great, but not perfect. The consistency in going fast and tedious platforming was a bit off putting, and zones like Marble Zone and Labyrinth Zone provided boring puzzles and jum...
