First CD versus vs First Streaming Consoles

Before the successful launch of the PlayStation in 1995 a lot of other companies tried to launch CD-ROM based consoles without much success: Sega CD, Philips CD-i, 3DO, Amiga CD32, Commodore CDTV, Apple-Bandai Pippin (and probably some more). I see those platforms as a kind of in between generation ...

Re: Should I buy an original Game Boy?

Should I buy an original Game Boy? Yes and no. No, because you get a better experience playing the games on superior hardware, such as the GBA SP or Game Boy Player that you mentioned. Yes, because you a get better idea if a game actually was suitable for the original hardware. Take a game such as ...

Re: Games that are perfect examples of great design?

BioShock 1 - I agree on that one. I love the way the story is told. Shovel Knight - A fantastic combination o modern and classic platforming, and the levels and power-ups progress in a very good way. I'm talking about the original, Plague of Shadows was enjoyable too, just not so good as the origin...

Re: 2019/6/18: Nintendo Switch: Sonic Team Racing

I'm a long time Sega fan, I owned a Master System, MegaDrive, 32X and Saturn, and still play the MegaDrive to this day. I think the original Sonic games and Streets of Rage games are some the best games ever made. But what's going on at Sega, once one of the biggest gaming companies of the world? If...

Re: 2019/5/30: Game Boy: Super Mario Land, Duck Tales

Super Mario Land is awesome, it's simple, short and so much fun, I love how it try new things with the Mario formula like the bombing koopas and the ball bouncing attack, the shooting stages are the best part, the music is great too. I agree! Also, very nice to see you review some more classic Game...

Re: Best Sports Video Games of All Time!

Why did you include horse racing and auto racing, but no motor racing? (Not that I'm especially fond of that, I'm just wondering). And athletics? (Or does Track & Field does the deal for that?) And didn't you also review many skiing, snowboarding, skating, wrestling, swimming and chess games? Wh...
